Silent Sunday – Fresh Snow

A different world from down under Eliza. I’m trying to imagine the gentle white flakes, the light crunching underfoot, and the fingers fighting to just get warm again 🤣❤️🙏
Yes, our seasons vary by over 100º!
A teeny bit 🤣❤️🙏
So delicate and magical, Eliza.
Thank you, Flavia, it does feel magical out there today. 🙂
So pretty
Thank you, Dale!
Perfectly timed for Christmas.
First white Christmas in years! 👏🏼 ❄️💙
Nice! 😊
Beautiful details!
Thank you, Audrey! 💙
Such a lovely frame.
Nature’s decorations. We got about a 4″ fluffy white blanket. I saw a Coyote walking in the woods, then it hurriedly went thru our back yard…got a photo and later went out to take a photo of the tracks. 2nd Coyote, recently. Lots of hungry birds.
The snow is so pretty this morning. Lots of tracks to see with the fresh snow!
Mother Nature has allowed me to use my snowblower three times this month so far. 🙂
It has been a snowy Dec. for sure. It’s a shame we’ll be getting rain tomorrow to ruin the look of our winter wonderland. ❄️
Very pretty, especially with your snowing WordPress background. The sun is out at the moment, with our 4″ we got, and I’m sure there are some pretty things to be photographed but it is currently in the single digits here. Brrrr
Thanks, K. Similar here, I might venture out this afternoon, but this morning’s 5º was a bit too cold for me!
is fresh snow something to celebrate? I hope so!
Oh, yes, esp. if it is dry and fluffy. The freezing rain coming tonight is not as welcome. 😉
Nature’s handiwork captured beautifully 😊
Thank you, Belinda!
I hope you’re tucked warmly inside with a mug of hot chocolate, a book and a cat by you side!

Yes, but it’s tea, my laptop and a dog… the cat is taking a siesta under the covers (smart girl)! Our low was 5F this morning. 🥶 🙂
The perfect winter photo. Our ice has melted already.
Thank you, and there is always more coming. Tonight will be freezing rain, followed by rain tomorrow. Always changing!
It’s very pretty, but I’m glad we don’t have it! We’re in the mid 60s today (but gray and dreary and awaiting the bottom to fall out overnight).
Wow, that’s warm. I prefer snow to freezing rain, but that’s coming tonight anyway to ruin a nice, pretty snowfall. Oh, well….
Stay safe in that — ice can be treacherous.
Indeed. Luckily, temps will rise at daybreak, so hopefully, it’ll all turn to rain and melt.
Beautiful capture, Eliza–from the top of the frozen stem and foliage to the last drop!
Thank you, Tina. Winter is so beautiful here with the snow.
So pretty! We may have some here soon too. 😃☃️
Thank you, Cathy. Your garden will be so pretty adorned in snow!
Lovely image. We had 3 inches yesterday, and tomorrow’s rain and warm temps should wash it away.
Thank you, Tom. Yes, all the beautiful, fluffy snow will be gone, but there will be more again in the future, no doubt!
How lovely
Thank you!
It’s so pretty! We only received maybe an inch but after multiple days in the 70s F the cold (yesterday’s high was around freezing) sure was quite a shocker.
Thanks! Weather whiplash is the new normal, it seems. Changes every few days!
I miss mine.
There will be more, without a doubt! 😉
lol can I have it without freezing rain 🙂
Wouldn’t that be nice!
Yes!
You’ve confirmed, as have weather reports I’ve seen on television the past few days, that the northeast hasn’t forgotten how to do winter.
It changes rapidly, however. After the beautiful snow, we had rain in the 40s yesterday and then dropped precipitously overnight to teens with wind. Never a dull moment.
This is so beautiful!
We haven only seen snow but never experienced it…
Thank you so much for sharing and wish you & family a very happy new year, in advance 🙂
Thanks much!
How beautiful! I hope we get some fresh snow here soon!
good to see the snow ☃️☃️☃️
The weather is all over the map… rain, snow, sleet, high winds… we got it all!
A lovely close-up! We are hurting for snow here … I hope we are able to catch up. I know my friends Back East in South Jersey are getting more this year, so far, than usual in recent years.
Thank you, Denise. We’ve had a few snowstorms mixed between rain, so it’s been a warm/cold/repeat cycle. The woods are still walkable at least. We get less snow than we used to 25 years ago. Hope you get some good precipitation!
