To celebrate the sunny days of early summer, a vase of composites– oxeye daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare), feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) and white yarrow (Achillea millifolium) are accompanied by white astilbe (A. chinensis), white mallow (Malva moscheutos) and stars of yellow loosestrife (Lysimachia punctata).

Beautiful images…
They look so pure!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead, Eliza 🙂
Many thanks, Sreejith! 🙏🏼
Love all the whites with touches of color!
Thank you, Sandy. I just love daisies!
So delightful!
Thank you, Flavia!
Ah, white; my favorite color! Well, the yellow is nice also.
Thanks, Tony. 🙂
So beautifully cheery and refreshing.
Thank you! 🙂
Ooh, don’t they brighten your day Eliza 🤗❤️🙏
That they do, I love daisies!
So lovely! Have a nice week Eliza.
Thank you, Rupali, same to you!
Beautiful 🌼🌼🌼
Thank you, Karen!
All the joys of summer…
Indeed. I am savoring every single day. 💕
Definitely very summery…& a little visitor, enjoying! I especially like the mallow…the petals remind me of me of Moth wings.
Thank you, Alice!
Absolutely lovely. I love summer! (Suzanne)
Ditto! I am soaking in these warm days, they are over way too soon.
Because of the staminal column, I guessed that the five-petaled flower on the bottom left is the white mallow. I’d not come across the Malva genus before; when I looked in my guidebooks, I found one reason. Both species listed are introduced rather than native. Apparently they’re somewhat common; I just haven’t seen either. The white mallow is gorgeous!
Thank you, Linda. Yes, another introduced species that has gone wild. They show up everywhere, we have both white and pink. Depending on where they show up, I sometimes let them stay, but most get weeded out of my gardens. This white one is from the edge of the front walk. 🙂
Simply lovely, Eliza! 💛🤍
Thank you, Julie!
Utterly delightful and as pretty as a bride.
Thank you, Laurie. Perfect for a June bride (if not July)!
Absolutely!
Nice whites. I was obsessed with daisies as a kid and my dad would not grow them. So I found some wild ones and put them in his garden. Surprise!
Ha, I love that! My first bouquets were probably dandelions and daisies. My sister and I would pick handfuls and add food coloring to get different colors.
Sweet and summery, that’s daisies for ya!
Thanks, Tina! So cheerful, I just love them.
That beautiful vase screams summer! A beautiful bouquet, Eliza.
Thank you, Monika! 🙂
🍃🤍💚🍃🤍🤗🍃 gorgeous whites!
Thank you, Susan! 🙂
Is there anything more cheerful than a daisy? I think not! I’m missing feverfew in my garden this year.
https://krispgarden.blogspot.com/
Thanks, Kris. Feverfew has now self-sown all over my gardens. Easy enough to control, I welcome most of them. I could send you seeds!
Love these.. so fresh and joy inducing!
Thank you, Isha! 🥰
🌻💕🌼💮
Perfect representation for July!
Thank you, Dale. Let’s celebrate before the mid and late summer blooms start slipping in. 🙂
Yes!
The mallow always throws me. It must be a northern plant? This would make a perfect bridal bouquet. The astilbe is astounding – it looks huge. Very pretty and lacy.
Thank you, Amy. The malva is originally European, naturalized here. I think a temperate climate is preferred. The astilbe is from a set of German cultivars bought decades ago, still going strong, but names long lost. They are pretty tall!
I had several very short lived puny Astilbe in Atlanta. Love seeing yours.
Thanks, they live well in the shade garden that has ample moisture.
The arrangement is beautiful and so summery, Eliza! I was thinking wedding too…
Thank you, Kim. Perfect for a young and cheerful bride, her whole life ahead of her. 🙂
Yes!
The combination of colors has a cooling effect, Eliza. That’s refreshing on these hot summer days.
Thank you, Tanja. Glad it gives you some respite. Summer just keeps getting hotter it seems. 🥵
That’s not a good trend . . .
The whites are elegant together. In my local meadows, I’m seeing lots of yarrow, and yesterday found another loosestrife, swamp candles (Lysimachia terrestris).
Thank you, Tom. There may be L. terrestris down by the river. L. ciliata sows itself around the yard, a big patch has crept into the garden duking it out with L. punctata and Chinese astilbe. My gardens are taking on a rather wild look these days!
Sounds nice to me!
A lovely summer representation! My favorite season 🙂
Thank you. Ditto, summer is the best!
A very cheerful summer bouquet. Beautiful, as always. 🙂
Thank you, Rebecca! ❤
What a lovely arrangement.
I do like green and white in a vase.
Thank you, Vicki! 🙂
So pretty Eliza!
Thank you, Cindy!
Lovely and cool and refreshing Eliza. I really like the white mallow, astilbe and loosestrife mixed in with your daisy forms. Aren’t those smiling yellow centres of the ‘daisies’ cheerful! 😃
Thank you, Cathy. Nothing beats daisies for cheering up a soul. 🙂
Daisies were in my bridal bouquet, especially asked for by me, and they remain a beloved flower forever. Your bouquet is lovely.
Thank you, that is a lovely memory. This arrangement made me think of a bridal bouquet as it came together. 🙂
A beautiful bouquet Eliza. The yellow and white is so clean and refreshing. I love that white Mallow. Is it a very large plant?
https://zonethreegardenlife.blog/2025/07/07/in-a-vase-monday-july-7-2025/
Thank you, Jenny. The mallow is a bit wild and weedy for a garden plant, self-sows madly, but it suits meadows very well. It averages 18-24″ tall, comes in white or pink.
So pleasing to the eye, lovely 😊
Thank you, Belinda!
How fresh and cool and summery this is, Eliza – just what you need to cool you down on a warm day!
Thank you, Cathy. And boy, we have had quite the string of hot days lately!
Quintessentially summer, simply lovely!
Thank you, Barbara. I love the fresh daisies of summer. 🙂
Such calm, pure beauty you’ve collected. The flowers in my garden have gone crazy this year, they are every where and in too many colour schemes..LOL.
Thank you, Maria. Glad your garden is abundant!
This vase is bursting with joy, lovely arrangement this week!!🙂
Thank you very much! ❤
So pretty 💐💐
Gorgeous!
Thanks, Denise!
