Wow!
🙂 Thanks, Ellen!
Oh, yes! It doesn’t get much better than that. Happy fall!
Thanks, Julie! 🍁
Beautiful scene, Eliza, and beautifully framed for the photo!
Thank you, Audrey!
Perfection ❤️
Thank you, Isha!
Glorious fall colours Eliza
Merci, Sheree!
What a beautiful window and glorious autumn colours Eliza! 🧡🍁 xxx
Thank you, Xenia!
The visual depth and the colours are beautiful!
Thank you, Anne. It is a favorite look through for me.
And wow, what a window Eliza. They don’t come much bigger or delightful than that 🤗❤️🙏
Thanks, Mark. I love that view.
Beautiful Eliza. Fantastic colours.
MJ
Thank you, MJ. Fall colors are good this year.
Always a view. Your garden is the other side of the window……..
Beyond the ‘window’ is the river, just beyond the orange/red sumac. Once the foliage goes, we can see bits of the river.
So beautiful! This is autumn as it ‘should’ be — although if you listen closely, you may hear the sounds of our rejoicing. Our first real ‘cold’ front has come through, and although the temperature’s still in the sixties, it is blowing 25-30 kts and we’ve dropped twenty-five degrees. It’s just the right weather to admire your seasonal view!
Thank you, Linda. So glad your weather has broken! Crisp fall days are a balm after a hot summer.
Oh, fall! Doesn’t last long enough. Perhaps that why we love it so.
Yes, I have to remind myself to look out and savor the beautiful transformation. Just now, I was mesmerized by a gust of wind that brought a swirl of golden leaves through the yard. Magical!
I love that dancing swirl of colors! Yes, magical.
It’s a beautiful time in our neighborhood isn’t it, well, until we have to pick up those leaves. 🙂
We’re fortunate that the wind carries off most of them. The lawn mower takes care of the rest. 😉
Autumn in the woods, so beautiful! Love the contrast with birch tree on the left. 🧡
Thank you, Barbara. I love how individual trees suddenly stand out once they color up, it is a green wall in the summer.
Stunning photo!
Thank you, Robin!
Very nice shot! I like it!
Thank you, Hien. My morning view. 🙂
Hardly see this scene in my real kife, living in two seasons country
New England does get a lot of visitors this time of year, just for that reason. 🍁🤩
It’s looking very autumnal there. 🍁
Yes, indeed… lots of color in the forest. 🙂
Those colors!
A happy view for sure. 🙂
Love the depth of your view.
Thank you, Susie. It is esp. nice after sunrise and before sunset (east is to the right and west is to the left) when the rays illuminate the forest from the side. I never tire of it. 🙂
It looks like a window into another world, Eliza!

Definitely a Calgon moment when I look out there. 😉
It’s a beautiful scene and photo! I just love the woods this time of year 🌲
Thank you, Belinda. There is a reason this is many people’s favorite time of year!
Your photo draws me in to take a walk in the woods.
Hope you get a chance to!
I am actually surrounded by woods, but your photos bring back the woods of my childhood in PA.
Wonderful alliteration for a beautiful scene!
Thank you, Dale. You’re the first to notice that! It just came out that way. 😉
I was trying to respond in kind but… didn’t wanna come out 😉
Everybody should be so fortunate, to look outside and see such a view. I know you treasure it, Eliza — thank you for sharing it with us!
Treasure it I do, Debbie. I lived in suburbs for 19 years and I remember well how I yearned to live in the country and thus made it happen. 💕
I love the depth of colors in this image, Eliza. 🍁
Thank you, Jane. I like the way rain darkens the trunks enhancing the leaf color. 🙂
Ohh, am I seeing Beech in the background??
I think it is primarily sumac (red) and sugar maple (orange). The yellow to the left may be bittersweet vines (😡 ).
Probably Sugar Maple, Beech is a bit more bronze, I think..do you still have them?
I have many young beech that I’ve watched grow up in my 34 years here. They do start out yellow, then turn butterscotch and then dry to parchment on the tree. It is the only tree that keeps leaves the entire winter and the only place I can hear the wind rustling (pines are not the same!). Unfortunately, a fungus blight and nematode infestations have been noted nearby, so it devastates me to think I will eventually lose these majestic trees. 💔
I hope the Beeches stay, they are my favorite.
That’s beautfiul. Is there a pathway into the woods there?
Only perhaps for deer, which do cross just in from our yard proper. They are trying to be cautious. 😀
When my boys were little, they would slide and snowboard down that hill. It’s kind of grown up since then.
Love the title and photo!🙂
Thank you, S! Hope you’re enjoying your break. 🙂
A beautiful view of the graceful and colorful leaves. The nematode blight is in my area, I noticed the rumpled leaves a few years back, now there are many mature beeches down.
One by one, we seem to be losing our beautiful and majestic trees. Beyond sad…
Lovely photo.
Many thanks, Diana!
Very autumnal. Love the shades
Thank you, Karina!
I’m ready to venture in…..
🙂 Nice! Thanks for stopping by, Donna.
A beautiful combination of colors!
Thanks, Denise. One of my favorite views. 🙂
I loved this woodland window, Eliza, in its full autumn glory.
Thank you, Jet. One of my favorite views, even year round. 🙂
Beautiful! Autumn is a dramatic season, isn’t it? So many changes from September through November…
Beth @ PlantPostings.com
Thank you, Beth. Yes, ‘drama’ is a good descriptor. A beautiful stage of the year!
