Silent Sunday – Virginia Creeper

So vibrant. Great capture against the rock (or tree?). Of, course it’s creeping. 🙂
🙂 Metamorphic bedrock, a thing of beauty in and of itself. Thanks, Jane. 💕
What color!!
It really is striking! Thanks, Cindy.
I have one in my garden – the only plant to change colours during autumn 🙂
It really does blaze!
Lovely frame.
Thank you, Rupali!
Beautiful! 💕🍁 Ours is really changing colour now too.
Thank you, Cathy. Fall is when this plant really shines. 🙂
More shades of autumn. Lovely
Thank you, Karina. Autumn is definitely here!
So vibrant! Much more welcome than Poison Ivy!
Oh, yes, you got that right! 🙂
Such a bright splash of red in the fall!
We’re lucky to have VC and red maples to add to our fall palette. 🍁
VC is autumn’s showoff…ever so beautiful.
Thank you, Monika. Not so noticeable in summer, but then bang! it reveals itself in its final glory. 🙂
Love it 🎈
Thanks, Val! 🙂
I love these plants. So pretty against the bark!
Thank you, Belinda. Contrast really makes their colours pop!
I love my rare finds of this. The plant’s around, but we don’t often get the right temperatures to begin the change. This is glorious!
Thank you, Linda. I agree, nature provides some great art!
A striking contrast!

Nature is such an artiste! 🙂
♥️🧡🙏 Near a coffee shop I go to, an entire side of a building used to be ablaze with lush Virginia creeper colour every fall. I was appalled to see a new business owner recently remove it. Now, all they have remaining is an ugly blank wall facing a once beautified-by-nature side street.
So sad when that happens. I guess many don’t think beyond what they perceive to be an eyesore (from their personal POV). They don’t think about the birds and insects that use it for food and cover, nor the fact that it provides oxygen, cleaning the air, or lastly, its beauty, esp. in fall. ‘Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do.’ xo
Just gorgeous red colour!
Thank you, Maria. Like your forests full of blueberries. 🙂
Another blog friend was showing that in Germany. Great colors.
Yes, a plant that humans have carried over the sea. Another blogger in S.Africa has it in her yard as well.
A lot of plants have traveled the world.
Pretty, a touch of Christmas coming!
Thank you, it will be here before we know it. 😉
What a beauty! It really proclaims “Fall” loud and clear!
That it does, thanks, Debbie!
we do get some fall color on Virginia creeper – but yours is better!
Thank you, and this isn’t the best it has been in the past, it’s different every year!
Almost like burning bush to my eyes.
But at least it is native! 😉
This is one vine we share. I have also been admiring their beautiful color change.
It’s a beauty this time of year!
My fave color! Very pretty in the fall always!
Yes, I love the way they color up the trees they climb.
I have some growing over the swing area. So pretty. I was just sitting under some this evening looking around at the trees.
It is so pretty, esp. in the fall.
It sure is a beautiful color … hard not to take notice when it is present!
Thanks, Denise, it surely does call one’s attention, and the bedrock makes a nice contrast, too.
So gorgeous!
Thank you, it always puts on a dramatic show.
