This is one of my favorites. I especially enjoy plantings of mixed colors, and the use of the seed pods in dried arrangements. Of course the dew drops make this image even more delightful.

Skillful shot!!! Compliments the title perfectly!!!

One of my favourite flowers. I suspect it’s something to do with the name, but a bush full of flowers is interesting to look at too. So is the seed pod.

A lovely image to share (and view), no matter what side of the world you live on.

Thank you, Vicki. The droplets added such beauty to complement another common name: Persian Jewels.

I’ve never heard of the name Persian Jewels, but then, until I started using my current ID app. I’ve discovered many more names for the one plant. I suspect Australians use the English names (from back in colonial days) and the U.S. uses a different name for the same plant.

  4. Showering before facing the day Eliza, refreshed and looking good 🤣

    Great picture, thank you 🤗❤️🙏

The drops are beautifully captured 🙂

Beauty magnified by water. The fennel-y leaves form around the seed pod? It looks like a rose bud.

  7. An interesting plant. It has a sort of alien look in your photo, but I have seen them in dried arrangements, and they look really good.

Very appropriate name for this plant, better than Devil in the Bush!

  11. It is such a pretty flower. If I can get them to grow here, they need to be planted in the fall and bloom early spring.

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

It is. They show up here and there around my garden and are very easy to manage. Do yours self-sow or do you have to sow them annually?

      • I have to sow them. Something happens to seeds, which is probably some kind of insect removing them. Once I was planting lettuces in the ground for the second time as they did not come up and was called away for a phone call. When I came back to finish, the ants were hauling all my seeds away.

How pretty! I love how purple and green compliment each other, and those dewdrops give your photo added interest. Well done, Eliza!

The dew drops are splendid, lovely image. I tried growing Nigella from seed lst year just because the dried flower is so interesting.
