Wordless Wednesday – Seasonal Change

Snowdrops! That’s just so not fair… But oh so lovely, Eliza 🙂
What fun — exchanging one form of ‘white’ for another!
And it is happening fast!
Signs are pointing towards spring! Do you think you are done with snow?
Yes, I do. If anything comes now, it won’t stay long. It has been so warm the ground has thawed, it has never been this early!
Just a smidge behind you as bulbs are just getting going. Snowdrops should be up and open this week!
This warm spell is really pushing things forward!
Beautiful Eliza – wow, I would never have believed that my garden was so far ahead of yours, with the snowdrops now fading!
Thank you, Cathy. New England is much colder than France! And this is early by nearly a month over the historical average. In the 90s, we’d have snow until mid-April. That hasn’t happened in years. Climate change is real!
It must be Eliza – we have extremely cold winters here (sometimes!!!), so I imagined we were the same sort of climate. But wow – snow till April
In the old days we had April snow, now we are much warmer… today is 18C, unheard of a couple decades ago. CC is galloping forward.
Wow – that’s hot for March!
This week we are back to more ‘normal’ temps with highs around 5C, yo-yo weather!
Now, there’s a sign of spring if I ever saw one. Beautiful!
Thank you, Judy. Yay, love them snowdrops!
Snowdrops = special Spring surprise happinesses
Indeed! 🙂
Nothing like snowdrops to herald in spring!
A happy sign for sure!
So spring-like
It is, and early, too!
It won’t be long now…I’m sure you’re eager for spring.
I’m ready for spring. 🙂
Snow and snowdrops. Almost spring.
Yes! 👍
And so it begins…. 😃 Hope that’s the last of your snow Eliza!
I think it will be… the ground has thawed!
What gorgeous snowdrops!! How I’m looking forward to Spring!
Thank you, Debbie. It feels like it is here already!
Spring is springing!
Yes, it is! 🌷🪻🌞
That’s a great start!
It always feels miraculous! 🙂
We are starting to see the lawn turn green as well. Spring is coming soon!
Hurrah! 🙂
Exactly my sentiment!
And yes … right on nature’s cue. Love it now … and the upbeat of expectation.
So many things come and go, but the shifting energy towards Spring lightens us all.🥰
That it does, renewal does lighten the heart!
How wonderful! None here yet.
It won’t be long, I hope!
Just we need now – first flowers. My snowdrops are blooming as well, and at Acton Arboretum last weekend, more snowdrops, the buttercups aconite and Adonis vernalis, hellebore, and a few crocuses. Hurray!
Happy days! 🙂
Phew! What a March. Those snowdrops are lovely.
Thank you, Laurie. Yesterday’s rain finished off the rest of the snow. Snow-free by March 7 is unprecedented!
We are pretty much snow-free here, too, right in the woods. Astonishing!
Yippie!
Yes! 🙂
Snowdrops!!! Anticipation — spring cannot be too far behind!
It’s like we’ve passed the finish line!
It’s a good thing spring bulbs can withstand the occasional visit from Old Man Winter-we’re supposed to have another one later today and into tomorrow. Things have become dried out again after some breezy days so we have our paws crossed.
Our low last night was 45F, unheard of this time of year. So many above normal days has become the new normal. Hard to trust it!
The weather very much resembles a yoyo more and more each year. Up, down and all around!
Yup!
Great title.
Thanks, David. 🙂
I just checked our weather forecast and it looks like we’ll be getting another dump of snow any moment. That’s what this winter’s been – a foot of snow, that almost melts away, then in a week or two the same thing happens … not that I’m complaining, last years meters of snow satisfied my desire for lots of the white stuff. 😀
It seems we are snow-free earlier with each passing winter, with less snow but more rain overall. Not sure what to think of it!
Lovely to see, but I can’t believe you already have flowers!!🙂
Just only against the foundation on the south side, where the snow melts first. 😉
Yay, at last! You’ll be in a t-shirt before you know it…..
MJ
It feels that way!
Seasons are changing 🙂
It feels like winter has lost what little grip it had. It was a very mild winter for us.
Spring is springing, yay!!
Yes, indeedy! 🙂
Ughh! We have lots of bare areas but now there is another storm in the forecast. Those snowdrops are a sight for sore eyes!
I’ve heard that you are getting waves of storms out there. I suppose the moisture is a good thing however!
