An old wooden bucket I filled with Annabelle and Oak-leaf Hydrangea flower heads, tufts of Miscanthus grass and seed capsules from Balloon flower (Platycodon) for my IAVOM post on Cathy’s 10th anniversary has been updated for the Christmas season. I added white-painted branches with gold balls, white pine boughs and cones, as well as a red-checked ribbon bow. A basket below is filled with more white pine cones and mini-gourds. Many thanks to Cathy for hosting this addictive and popular meme!

Is that Eastern white pine, Pinus strobus, which happens to be both the State Tree and State Flower of Maine?
That it is! Thanks, Tony.

Wishing you a beautiful holiday, Cindy! 🌲🩷
Naturally festive
🙂 Thanks, Alice!
Very pretty.
Thank you, Judy!
Beautiful. Christmas or Winter Solstice, the arrangement honors the season. You do amazing things with and for nature, Eliza. Blessings of the season to you. 💜🙏🏻
Thank you very much, Carrie! Wishing you a beautiful holiday filled with light, joy and peace.
It looks very festive in a down to earth way. I love the idea of painting the sticks white. Beautiful and creative repurposing, Eliza!
Thank you, Barbara. Just a few additions and voila! 😉
All of your ‘Monday vases’ are pretty, and some are beautiful — but this is one of my favorites. Merry Christmas!
Thank you very much, Linda! 🙂
Natural decorations are the best.
Thank you, my favorite choice always!
Oh! How beautiful and creative!
Love this so much.
Thank you, Dale! x

Lovely and creative. Well done. 🎄
Thank you, Monika!
I love this clever repurpose!
Thank you, Donna! 🙂
What a great idea to repurpose the earlier arrangement, Eliza – so easily done too. Some displays could be almost permanent, couldn’t they, with the occasional tweaking?
Surely makes it quicker and easier! I could replace the gold balls with hearts for Valentine’s… hey, there’s a thought! Thank you, Cathy. 🙂
You just need to remember when the time comes!
A beautiful and festive makeover, Eliza. Happy Holidays!
Thank you, Susie! 💕🌟🌲
Merry Christmas! It all looks lovely.
Thank you, Alys! 🌲🌟🕯️
So very pretty and seasonal!
Thanks much, Belinda!
That’s a perfect update to fit the season, Eliza!
Thank you, Kris! 🙂
Lovely!!
Thank you!
I have some evergreens in a vase and I just added more “updating” to it yesterday. The greens almost seem eternal right now…they are still supple and so pretty. I’m going to keep them going as long as possible. I love finding kindred spirits who do what I do.
🙏🏼 Thank you!
Beautifully festive.
Thank you, Jill!
Great idea to refresh your lovely autumn display Eliza! 👍
Thank you, Cathy!
What a lovely arrangement! Why, I’m certain it rivals most of what I’ve seen in stores lately — well done, Eliza!
Oh that’s a striking display Eliza and looks most seasonal indeed 😀
Thank you, Anna!
Very festive! 🙂
Thank you, Joanne!
I love the gold ornaments! I might have to copy that next year. I have a pot of willows, pinyon pine and juniper on my porch.
Thank you, Denise… it was my spouse’s suggestion. I guess he wanted it a bit more festive! 😉
