Cathy at Words and Herbs is once again hosting her annual Week of Flowers to showcase flowers we grew in our gardens. As we head into the last month of the year, it is good to reflect on all the blessings that came our way during 2023. Gardens and flowers were just some the many for me.
Open to all, click the link to join in sharing Cathy’s parade of flowers. From her post:
“For the fourth year now I am inviting my blogging friends to join me in posting a photo of a flower or two from their 2023 gardens each day for a week. There are no rules, so just one photo (or two or three!) with or without text is fine, and if you leave a link in the comments of my daily post, others will be able to find you and share in the fun! And this year I will start on Friday December 1st, continuing through to Thursday December 7th.“

What an attractive combination!
Thank you, Anne. A big contrast to the brown dormancy out there right now. 😉
Flowers are a great prompt for a cold December! It’s 0F outside right now, and I am about to head out shortly. I’ve made plans for a big adventure with the children at work, we’ll see…it’s going to be cold. Have a great day! Thank you for sharing some summer 🙂
Thank you, Maria! Oh, my, that IS cold, I hope it warms up in time for your walk with the kids.
Beautiful flower garden Eliza.
Thank you, Cindy! x
Beautiful summer flowers!
Thank you, Alice!
Your garden is beautiful Eliza! If only we could stop time on summer days like this, just to savour it all wholly for a few hours. 😃 The sunflowers at the back are such a great background to it all!
Thank you, Cathy! We always have to have a backdrop of sunny sunflowers. 😉
A beautiful colourful garden display. Do you have snow now where these flowers once grew?
Thank you, Joanne. We’re having light snow flurries this morning! Generally, snow doesn’t last on the ground until the ground freezes in the next few weeks, probably after Xmas/early Jan.
Always nice to see lovely flowers during the dull december month 😉
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! My pleasure. 🙂
A field of summer, right there! Lovely 🙂
Thanks, Dale. When it comes to flowers, more is always better! 😉
Always! There are never too many 🙂
Do your cleomes self-seed?
Tons!
I do love a nice mixed bouquet, and this is a good one.
Many thanks, Linda!
A pretty combination of colors – what a lovely garden.
Thanks, Tom!
Such a pretty garden…images like this one will be especially welcome when the next round of storms roll in at the end of the week. I can fondly look back…in between shoveling sessions. 😉
Thank you, Monika. Hang in there, take it nice and slow. 🙂 ☃️ ❄️
Ah, glorious. Love ’em!
Thank you, Allison!
What a wonderful sight Eliza, the flowers look so beautiful together 💜 xxx
Thank you, Xenia! xo
I must add Cleome to my wish list of flowers.
Some don’t like the skunky odor or its prickles, but I overlook both as it is such a unique flower.
Summertime visage–beautiful!
Thank you, Tina!
Those sunflowers are particularly impressive, Eliza!
Thank you, Kris. I recently read that there is something in sunflower pollen that deters parasites in bee’s guts. So there will always be some planted in my garden. 🙂
Gorgeous display, Eliza! I’m so glad you captured the beauty so we can enjoy it on these cold, gray Winter days.
Thank you, Debbie. It’s a pleasure to share!
That would make a good Monet. Love Cleome too.
Thank you, Amy. There must be a photo app for that!
I think Susie uses it – water color or something like that?
I enjoyed this cheerful display of floral bonanza, Eliza.
Glad to know you did, Jet. Thank you!
Beautiful flowers, and I can envision the temperatures being higher than the 20’s. 🙂
Thank you, Judy. Wasn’t this just the other day? 😉
Your garden is beautiful, Eliza! Those summer colors are a feast for the eyes.
Thank you, Barbara. It doesn’t seem all that long ago!
Oh that’s a colourful patch of summer sunshine Eliza which has warmed me up on a cold night 😀
Glad to hear it, thanks much!
So pretty; this image turned the calendar back to summer 😊
Definitely a fun meme for early Dec. to help us forget the temperature outside. 🙂 Thank you, Belinda!
Oh, I love this beautiful combination!!🙂
Thank you, S! Mostly annuals, so every year is a variation of similar plants.
Layers of summer beauty! 🙂
Thank you, Rebecca!
Beautiful, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna! 🙂
