This year, I’m having trouble finding the brilliant colors we usually see in Autumn; however, every so often, I see one of these gorgeous leaves, giving me hope the color will pop out soon. Beautiful, Eliza!

Esp. this time of year 🙂 One of my favorite trees, year ’round.
Been pressing maple leaves here 😉 We have 4 scarlet maples, which are not indigenous to this area, but the former owners planted them. Such beauty this time of year! Our own mini-New England! 💕
Red maples are a beautiful tree in fall. The sugar maples are a bust this year due to fungus, so we’re grateful for the reds.
WHAT?! Bummer! Oh my goodness! Is that affecting all sugar maples? I buy 2 gallons of maple syrup at a time from a VT farm. But a guy over the river here gave us a quart of his honey! So we’re not starving for sweet! 😂♥️
It seems to be spreading, most of our area in western MA and southern VT seem to be affected. Doesn’t bode well.
Not at all! And if it gets far enough north, it will also affect Canada. We need to care for this earth!!!!!
Amen to that. They predicted the demise of the sugar maple in New England and sadly, it seems to be coming true. Wah! 😦
