I love the patterns that ice makes!
Thank you, J & A! It reminds me of a lacy curtain. 🙂
Definitely…
Good one!
Thank you, Judy!
the beauty of nature captured so perfectly by you…
Thank you kindly, Donna!
Great shot…..reminds me of my jigsaw puzzle pieces….only prettier!
Thank you! The ice would make it a challenging puzzle. 🙂

You’ve got such a keen eye Eliza. Great shot.
Thank you kindly, Dawn! 🙂
You’re welcome kindly 😊
Beautiful. I love the patterns in the ice, too.
Thank you, Dale! ❤
💞
Gosh, what fascinating textures and patterns.
Thank you, Laurie. Yes, it certainly caught my eye. 🙂
An ‘icey-dip’….sure is colder in western Massachusetts!
Reminded me of bathers in a hot tub that stayed too long when the heat went off! 😀
If they’d “gone all in,” the photo would have been far less interesting!
Yes, it definitely caught my eye. 🙂
Living where ice isn’t usually much of a thing (though it can be), I’ve seen that before: part ice, part stick, limb, or leaf. Really nice capture of that!
Thank you, Tina!
Pretty patterns frozen in time…
Thank you, Barbara. Not much longer for shots like these!
Interesting patterns in the ice. It looks as though the leaves are begging for a rescue, though.
Thank you, Kris. I know what you mean, they seem caught in its icy grip.
I like the patterns in the ice.
Thank you, Ellen!
A beautiful capture Eliza and I especially love the delicate patterns in the ice 💙 xxx
Thank you very much, Xenia! 🙂
Very pretty. 😊
Thank you, Pepper!
Very artistic. Like nature can’t decide.
Tack, Maria! 🙂
So lovely! Looks like lace.
I thought so, too, like a lace curtain. Thanks, Debbie!
Beautiful leafy freeze!
Thanks, Amy! I liked the birch leaf’s serration with the ice patterning around it and the dark maple leaf added a dark contrast. It really popped out at me. 🙂
It is very cool 😎
Like krakens emerging from the deep beyond. 🙂
Yikes, I’m glad these are just wee leaves!
😀
Fabulous capture and love those winter days enjoying the ice patterns!!🙂
Thank you, S! Yes, there won’t be too many more ice opportunities the rate we are going. Strangest winter ever!
The ice looks like damask…those leaves–amazing.
Thank you, Lisa. I loved all the varied textures!
So many details and textures, very nice, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna!
love the patterns
Thank you, Sylvia!
This photo really did send a shiver down my spine 🙂 Great capture of the grip of winter… beautiful detail.
Thank you very much!
You went all in on that chilly winter scene.
🙂 Thanks, Steve!
These are so amazing images. And definitely caught my eye.
Let’s follow our blogs. Anita
Thank you, Anita.
Wow, ice art
Yes, nature creates amazing art, for sure. 🙂
Beautifully captured, Eliza!
Thank you, Belinda!
So pretty. Reminds me of a half-sunken boat, somehow.
Yes, that’s it! I felt there was something familiar about them, a leaky boat is a good comparison. 🙂 Thanks, Adele!
Nice find, Eliza! I love finding leaves in ice, especially in clear ice. Beech and a maple?
Thanks, Steve. I think it’s a birch and maple. 🙂
Cool shot. Trying to escape!
Wow! This is an amazing shot, Eliza.
Thank you, Alys!
Great title and interesting found still-life!
Thank you, Denise!
