Wow … What a stunning place !
There is a place in Indian Himalayas named, Valley of flowers. It looks like that.
Thank you for sharing, Eliza 🙂
Thank you, Sreejith! I would love to see such a place – it must be so beautiful.
Love seeing this flashback. I love how nature persists and delights.
Thank you, Ellen. It is nice to revisit this event, all the more precious in view of current travails.
I remember your beautiful images posted last year … so nice to revisit!
Thank you, Denise. Dreaming of better days. 😉
Wow Eliza! Beautiful Image!!
Thank you kindly, Reed!
Something tells me we’re not in Massachusetts any more. 🙂 Beautiful hills and valleys of super blooms. Wish we had scenery like this here.
A little escapism today. 😉 Thanks, Steve.
Lovely! Something I’m sure you won’t ever forget.
Thank you, Cindy. Never to be forgotten – it was one of my greatest experiences, seeing nature in all her glory!
Holy cats, what a sight!
🙂 Thank you, Laurie. A Calgon moment. That was such a memorable day!
That really doesnt need any word Eliza!
🙂 Thanks, Alison!
Beautifully captured!
Thank you, Alice!
Such space, and such beauty – a good ‘eye stretch’ during these days of confinement.
Yes, I felt the need for a bit of ‘escapism.’ Thanks, Anne.
Stunning:)
Thank you, Karina!
Grateful for beautiful views. Thank you Eliza 🙏🏻🌈
Thank you, Karen! ❤
Hey I know those hills!! 🙂 Gorgeous photos of the lovely California poppies 🙂
Thank you, MB! 🙂
How lovely!
Thank you, Belinda!
Fabulous photo and wonderful escape (I’m going to leave this on my screen for awhile).🙂
🙂 Thanks, S! I needed a Calgon moment today. Don’t we all?
Take me away to those hills of flowers!!😁
Gorgeous, and so nice to see in the midst of dark day!
Thank you, Debra! What a difference, eh? 😉
Wow! I think I could sit in the middle of those blossoms and hills forever. Where is this lovely sight?
Lake Elsinore, CA just south of L.A. I was so lucky to see this in person last year. Unforgettable!
I’ll have to remember to look for this area if I ever make it to L.A. again. Have a good night. 😊
What an extraordinary sight. The colour is amazing. All the more spectacular due to the lack of trees and low-lying bushes.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Vicki. The hills of California are stunning when in bloom.
You can’t show photos enough of this event, Eliza! It is such an impressive sight.
Thank you, Allison! I took hundreds of photos and have shared nary but a few. This seemed like a good time for an escape to better times. 😉
Absolutely gorgeous photograph
Thank you, Derrick!
GLORIOUS! Thank you for a memory of my youth!
Thank you! I didn’t know you are a CA native. 🙂 I love CA, but not the traffic. Seeing the empty highways these days is eerie.
WOW! Absolutely stunning, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna. It really was amazing!
So beautiful -thanks for lifting my spirits up
Thank you, my pleasure, Luda!
That’s so beautiful. Wish I could go there.
Thank you, Tiffany. It was a huge treat to see it in person.
What an amazing beauty Eliza! Wonderful!
Thank you, Agnes. It was truly breath-taking!
Oh wow! Mountains that have played in a paintbox. Stunning!
🙂 Thank you, Adele. It was quite the most amazing sight!
💕🕊🥀
xo
these carpets of orange flowers are a delight for the eyes
Thank you, glad you liked it.
Stunning
One day I would love to this
Thank you, Dorris. It is truly an astonishing sight.
One day, I shall travel to see it
Pick a March/April after they’ve had good Dec/Jan. rains (12-15 inches is ideal). My friends tell me that there is nary a bloom there this year with only about 5-8 inches fallen since Oct. The plants are resting after their big show last year. 🙂
What amazing richness – in both colour and abundance! It must have been fantastic to immerse yourself in this all this superness!
It still holds a special place in my heart. Thank you, Carol!
I somehow missed this post. Gorgeous photo! I’m glad you were here to enjoy it! I think the poppy fields are closed this year due to the you know what.
Thank you, Kris. M drove by recently and said that there wasn’t a single bloom in L.E. Either the poppies were late or had exhausted themselves last year and still are recovering. Do they generally bloom every year?
Ooooh! Almost takes the breath away, it’s so beautiful. Like a dream. 🙂
Thanks, Robin. It’s like the poppy fields in the Wizard of Oz. Endless! 🙂
Beautiful 🙂
Thank you!
Wasn’t that spectacular down there last year. Just gorgeous!
Thank you, Gary. Most memorable!
Sweet !
Thank you, Harold! It truly was. 🙂
Ooo I remember these gorgeous photos!
🙂 Thanks, Maria. Such a wonderful memory!
I can’t believe it!! So nice!
🙂 It was such a memorable sight – words and photos don’t do it justice!
Lovely
Thanks!
This is beautiful!
Thank you! Such a grand view I had that day!
Oh, how beautiful, Eliza. Looks like Northern CA. I miss springtime hiking. 😔
Thank you, Jane. This was taken in Lake Elsinore last year. So glad I got to see it in person, all the more now that travel is off the table and parks are closed. I bet it is hard to have all this at your door and are unable to hike in it. Needs must, I suppose. Stay safe and well, Jane!
Poppies are my favorite! ❤ I just love how they go to sleep. Early to bed, early to rise! I wish I could adopt their mantra. ;b
They are one of my favorite flowers – so beautiful!
That makes me so happy to hear! I just think they’re wonderful. 🙂 I think the orange ones may be the CA state flower, but don’t quote me on that. 😉
These flowers are stunning – so bright and cheerful.
Love, light and glitter
Thank you, Eliza!
I love this photo. Amazing.
