Thank you for posting NY Times link!
A gift to us all. She will be missed.
Indeed.
Oh I didn’t realize she passed away.
This morning.
She was a wonderful person and such an inspiration.
Agreed!
When I was in college she was the visiting artist way back when!! She gave a talk and even though I was not an English major she impressed me so much:-) It was back in the early 80’s and I had no idea who she was at the time…very wise woman:-) I love the above quote:-) She left her writing for us + her gift goes on….amazing woman:-)
She really was a phenomenal woman, so strong and wise. Thankfully, she left us with her wisdom in her written words. I was watching her last SuperSoulSunday interview and am grateful all over again.
I must admit I have not read much of her work, but I will check it out now:-)
She was an actress as well. If you’ve never seen “How to Make an American Quilt” (1995), I recommend it. I loved her character in that. Also has Anne Bancroft and Winona Ryder. Oprah has some great interviews, here is a good one: http://youtu.be/aHvTWvKIPHo
that was wonderful! Thank you for sharing:-) truly a wise woman:-)
What a beautiful quote Eliza. Thanks for sharing. May she rest in peace.
Our public library sponsors talks by great authors, and we were fortunate to hear her speak here about 5 or 6 years ago. What a life of accomplishment and heart and courage. Thanks for reminding me of that quote. Wise words.
Wow, great library! She has inspired me for years. So glad she shared her gift with the rest of us.
