Thanks, Mark. Cold and crunchy these days, today is bitterly cold with minus 25C windchill. Not a day for being outside very long. However, highs this coming week are predicted to break freezing… the first in weeks. I’m ready!

I’d be heartily tired of cold like that myself, despite the season’s beauty. To paraphrase a famous line, all that glitters can be too cold!
Yeah, it has been a challenging winter, temp-wise. Normal and to be expected, but I skip my outdoor time when it is this cold, and I really need the air. Better temps coming, yay!
Thanks for reminding me snow can be pretty. Mostly we’re just tired of it. But we DID have sunshine yesterday.
The sun is gaining daily, and out of wind feels warm. 👍🏼Latching onto any good that I can!
Sometimes it does look like crushed diamonds on the snow….we got at least 6 more inches, yesterday…huge snow piles, everywhere. The Birds are so hungry, keeping the feeders diligently filled & enjoying all the visitors, including 8 or more Bluebirds.
I heard it was a coastal storm, we ended up with 2″, but boy, has it been blustery cold. Those little birds are all puffed up!

I’ve always been a fan of glitter, from faceted gems to Christmas decor to moonlight on a snowy field. Wondrous stuff! 🤩

About a week ago, it snowed, then rained. It has been so cold, nothing is melting. One weatherman said he grew up here and never remembers it this cold for so long.
The sun makes the snow pretty, and you have a very pretty example here. But can I say enough already? How many weekends in a row have we had snow now????
And we have miles to go before we sleep! 😉
