  1. Indeed a past era Eliza. I bet it rattled the bones too…as well as the posterior 🤣❤️🙏

My father used to have a plough like this 🙂

Our property was part of a large dairy farm and there were many horse-drawn implements here and there on the property when we moved in 35 years ago. Only this and a rake are left as a reminder of those days.

  6. Alice's avatar Alice says:

The miles of furrows it must have made. A well-deserved resting time for the plough. A very nice capture with the snow.

  7. Thanks for the smile because I remember my grandfather having similar farm implements.

I love this shot, its simplicity and reminder of the past is just perfect. Well done, Eliza!

Nostalgic — a reminder of bygone days and something enduring…

Just lovely. Snow softens everything, even the hard edges of the past!

We’ve got a few of those, randomly in the woods of some of our local parks that used to be farmland.

  12. Pepper's avatar Pepper says:

Lovely contrast of light and shadows.

  13. Oh, nice! What is it about rusty equipment in the snow? Wonderful contrast.

I love photos of old things abandoned in the snow! Lovely image, Eliza.

It’s photogenic as well as historic, although I wouldn’t want to ride it!

  17. Bela Johnson's avatar Bela Johnson says:

We have seen SO much old farm equipment from coast to coast and in Hawaii. I wonder how much of it still exists, worldwide? 😀

  18. It is junk, but beautiful. I once found a piece of old equipment with an old-fashioned pink rose growing over it.

  19. Maria's avatar Maria says:

Have someone in your family used it at some point?

  20. A nice look back! I wonder when it saw regular use.

  21. Debbie's avatar Debbie says:

Nice reminder that the “good old days” often weren’t that “good”! I expect that old thing has a lot of stories to tell though.

  22. Beautiful composition, Eliza. But I will admit I’m chilled to the bone taking it all in. Brrrr.

Can I push it?🤭 Looks interesting
