It is Day Two of Cathy at Words and Herbs annual ‘A Week of Flowers‘, where she invites any and all to join her each day this week (until 7th December) to share a photo or two, taken over the past year, of something bright and colorful from our gardens. Click the link to see what others have shared or to join in yourself.
Thanks, Cathy, for this cheerful pick-me-up meme to brighten our early December days!

How lovely on this gray December day!
Thank you, K. It’s going to be a snowy one! ☃️
LOVE those small daffs!!
Thanks, Chris. I love the minis, too!
I’d love to find a fabric printed with a design based on this bouquet’s flowers. I’d make it into a sundress!
What a sweet comment, thank you!
Oh, that is lovely Eliza! 😁 I think I can almost smell that Narcissi…. 😉 The quince flowers are really pretty too!
Thanks, Cathy. Spring flowers are esp. nice after a long winter. 🙂
Beautiful – thank you
Thank you, Ellen!
Beautiful! Such a tonic on a gray MN day 😁
Thank you, Ellen. It just started snowing here. Did you get the beginning of this storm? It’s a big one by the looks of it. We might have a white Christmas!
We got 4” over the weekend but it looks like the serious snow is skipping us and headed your way 🥶
Yes, we’ll probably get about double that amount. White Christmas, perhaps!
So pretty, I can almost pick up their fragrance 😊
Thank you, Belinda. Thinking of spring is a cheerful boost to these gray days. 🌞
That bouquet just bursts of sunshine! Perfect on this (here) dreary day.
Thank you, Dale. It’s a snowy day here today!
It is here, too… but a dreary day nonetheless!
A lovely reminder of spring.
Thank you, Pepper. It’ll be here again before we know it! 🙂
Looking forward to it already.
Bright and cheerful, Eliza, what a stunning bouquet. I’m looking forward to daffs and tulips too. It was lovely to see you on Sunday!
Thank you, Annette. Ditto to meeting you as well! 🙂
Flowering quince is so awesome. Unfortunately, it is rare here. It performs well, though.
Thanks, Tony. It is a thorny, tenacious plant, but it is the first stop for returning hummingbirds in the spring, so it is forgiven.
Your daffs and tulips have me wondering if/when I’ll see some in my own garden again – spring does come early here 😉

Sooner is better as it is snowing lots here!

Thank you, Xenia! 💕
A vibrant reminder of what’s coming in a few months.
Knowing it is all cyclical helps a lot! 😀
Something to definitely brighten our day Eliza 🤗❤️🙏
Thank you, Mark 🙂
Love the way you combine colours Eliza! So zesty 🙂
Thank you, Allison!
A very pretty combination!
Thank you, Alice!
