Your garden looks beautiful as ever. Growing into the new season.

  3. Haha, I was amazed that the title of your post was actually the plants name. That is so profound Eliza, I love it. Thank you for sharing yours kind lady 🤗🤣❤️🙏

    Lovely garden.

    I like the Bushland/forest beyond.

  6. You have a very full garden. It looks like you plant tight. I always did that so I didn’t have to see the weeds.

Yes, I do plant according to directions and rows are 4′ apart, but that space disappears at this time of year. Even tight, I have plenty to weed. 🙂

Not the bleeding hearts I was expecting! Thanks to the Missouri Botanical Garden, I learned this non-native plant is named for “tiny blood red petalless flowers that bloom in narrow, drooping, tassel-like, terminal and axillary panicles throughout the growing season.” It’s quite a sight!

  8. What a sight to wake up to 😊. Lovely!

I was thinking “bleeding hearts,” but I must say, these are gorgeous. You have so many beautiful growing things, Eliza — you must be watering, fertilizing, and deadheading ALL the time!

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Debbie. Actually, we generally get enough rain, so I mostly have to water only when the plants are first getting established and their root system is shallow. I use compost, so no fertilizing, and I deadhead the orange cosmos daily, but the rest isn’t as needy. All fun in the sun for me!

  11. Kind of a gruesome name. The garden looks great.

  12. That’s quite a name for a plant, isn’t it?

Those are lovely colors! Looks like a horse’s tail. (Another post I didn’t get).
