Such a gorgeous color! Looking at these, makes me long for warm days and flowers……… was thinking this morning…not to rush time…but in 3 months it will be March 1st!
I know, the time will go fast! 🙂 Thanks, Alice.
That looks like its made of velvet Eliza – a fabulous rich colour too. Lovely! 😃
Thank you, Cathy. It is my favourite iris, that colour is rich indeed.
Another beauty, I like its rich colour!
Thank you, Belinda! It’s my favourite iris.
So nice to see these! I like the columbine too.
So nice to see these! I like the columbine too.
Thank you, Ellen!
That iris is nice with the columbine.
Thank you, they do go well together. 🙂 💕
So luscious and dramatic!
Thank you, Andrea!
What a striking bearded iris!
Thanks, I just love this color!
What a beautiful colour Eliza! ❤ xxx
Thank you, Xenia. Another favourite!
How can one not be converted to loving irises with these beauties?
With so many luscious hybrids, it is so hard to limit oneself to just a few!
Exactly!!
What lovely rich colors!

Thank you, Kris. I really love this iris!
The iris with the columbine coordinates brilliantly in color.
Thank you, Susie. An unusual color in the garden, so beautiful!
The color and the velvety texture are so appealing — I’d be hard pressed not to add more of these to a garden.
This fall I divided a bunch of them and now have 3 patches, plus gave a few to my son. They are really spectacular in bloom.
The iris looks huge next to the columbine, lovely colors in both of them.
Thank you, Tom. It is one of the ‘perfect form’ hybrids, all qualities maxed out!
Is that iris ‘War Chief’?
Not sure, as it was given to me by another gardener. But when I looked it up, it is a good match.
I have rules against purchasing bearded iris, but this one has been tempting. (There are three exceptions to the rule, but I have not encountered them yet.)
This iris is an unusual colour, which I find attractive indeed.
Thank you, Anne. My favorite iris!
Oh happy days Eliza. One of my favourites. Especially on a grey rainy day when we have to cycle out for our weekly shop. Every time we think it’s lessening and we get the bikes out again it immediately chucks it down. Needless to say it wasn’t forecast until much later!!
MJ
Thanks, MJ. Hope the rain let up enough for your ride to town. Cold and wet is no fun. 😦
That’s a beautiful Iris…I love the color! Thanks for sharing a warm-season scene. 🙂

Thank you, Beth!
What a beautiful color!!🙂
Thank you, not a common color it seems. 🙂
