Hi Eliza. What a lovely way to describe it. I’ve just started a drawing nature course and I am tempted now to find my own confetti to draw as one of my assignments. Will let you know!

  4. I picked up six lawn bags of that forest confetti yesterday morning from one bed as I was cutting back some catmint that is next to the driveway and gets buried under the snow. 🙂 Beautiful weather we are having right now.

I love this photo so much:)

  11. Whoa…the colors! Incredible. It’s been so dry here, most of the trees in the city are just a faded shade of yellow or brown.

That’s so funny. I just shared on my FB photo group a picture of wet leaves very similar. We have a great eye and good taste for images 😉

    Beauty!

  13. Debbie's avatar Debbie says:

Those colors are stunning! They look sort of wet though — did you have rain, frost, or morning dew?

  14. Love the photo, I spend as much time looking at the ground as the trees in fall. Wonderful title!🙂

Do you raise Lavender? How do you trim it for the next season?

It is generally recommended to prune it back 1/2 to 2/3 right after it blooms, being careful not to cut into woody stems. Having missed the August pruning, I’d lightly prune it now and then prune any dead growth in early spring, resuming pruning after bloom. By doing so, you’ll likely get two bloom periods. Good luck!
