peach pie – yum
Yes! 😀
That’s a great variety of shapes and colours, with the pine needles, different kinds of leaves, and the mushrooms.
Thank you, Audrey. A captivating vignette that begged to be noted. 🙂
I always enjoy pictures of fungi!
Thanks, Anne. They can be very photogenic. 🙂
Looks like a small pie..baked goods on the lawn… 😆
I know, I had the same thought, lol!
It’s intriguing how fungi just randomly appear.
Mycelium rules! 😉
Fungi are such an important plant for the planet.
Absolutely essential!
I always enjoy seeing those buttons of fall sprinkled here and there.
The faerie folk surely can’t be far off. 😉
No, indeed! Take care.
Such a perfect portrait of a season in transition: summer’s green, autumn’s colors, and fungi feeding on it all.
Thank you, Linda.
Nicely captured, Eliza. I’m not a big fan of mushrooms, but I appreciate their place in the ecosystem.
Thank you, Debbie. I’ve only started adding them to my diet, mostly shitakes, as they are supposedly very good for the body. I still have to dice them small as I’m not wild over the texture. 🙂
Lovely! I did ‘shrooms last week 🙂
🙂 It’s their time of year! Thanks, Dale.
It is!! 🙂
Shrooms! And with autumnal colors!
They are such a fine accessory to the autumn scene. 🙂
What a great photo E.! Yes, very alike. I got the toad, you found his stool.
Ha, yes! Thanks, Catherine!
Like Heather, I had a food association – but then it is lunch time here 😉

Yes, I was thinking the top one looked like a freshly baked pie. 😀
Beautiful light and composition Eliza! 🧡🍁 xxx
Thank you, Xenia! 🙂 x
Wonderful colors, shades of russet.
Thank you, A. Fall is here!
Beautiful ☘️
Thank you, Karen!
That picture makes mushrooms very appetizing!
Thank you, Hien, not sure if they are edible, however!
Lovely composition, Eliza! The top mushroom does look like pie 😊
Thank you, Belinda. There may be an apple pie in my future, lol! 😁
Pretty forest floor combination. At a guess, I think you have a Suillus (a bolete species) and a Russula. But I’m probably wrong!
Thank you, Tom. When it comes to mushrooms, I look, but don’t touch. 😉
Lovely autumn capture and I also see a pie and a bagel!!🍁🙂
Ha, breakfast is served! 😀
Oh, that little combo was begging to have it’s picture taken. You did it wonderfully!
Thank you, Tracy! 🙂
Oh it’s that time of year again
Very much so!
Are you a big fan of mushrooms? I mean eating them. There are tons of chanterelles in the forests around here.
Not really, the wild ones I don’t know much about and I’m trying to add more domestic ones to my diet. I don’t care for the texture! 😉
