Wordless Wednesday – Green Hearts

So sweet! If only the rampant morning glories prevalent here were that restrained!

Thank you, Kris. These are self-sowing annuals, but I can just imagine them taking over in a warmer climate!
Oooh, we have a similar plant like that over here, but called a Morning Glory. But thank you for sharing your Green Heart Eliza, its shape and color will always stand out 🤗❤️🙏
Thank you, Mark. They are called that here as well. A beautiful summer vine.
That is so pretty! 😃
Thank you, Cathy!
Very nicely composed, Eliza. Pretty!
Thank you, Debra!
Morning Glories are such a fun plant to see twirling its way higher, and every day different flowers. I have ‘Kaleidoscope’ mix: white, different shades of pink, pale blue, light and dark violets. The pollen on the petals is so pretty…a path left by pollinators.
Thank you, Alice. Bees and hummers do love them. These self-sow, but I do love the ‘Heavenly Blue’ and mixed colors, but haven’t bought seed in many years.
What a beautiful flower, and a pleasing composition. Did the flower arrange itself that way independently (my suspicion) or did it get a ‘hand’ in the process?
Thank you, Linda. No help needed from me, it managed on its own. 😉
Beautiful photo….green hearts & blue cups! And perfect background too.
Thank you, I love the weathered wood look. 🙂
How lovely . I want to keep looking at it
MJ
🙂 Thank you, MJ.
This is lovely, lovely, lovely!!
🙂 Thank you, Dale! 💚
🧡
Glorious they are!
Thank you, Sandy!
Welcome, Eliza.
So very lovely and wonderful composition. Would make an excellent card.
Oh, it would! 🙂 Thank you, Laurie.
💚💚💚💚💚🤗
Thank you, Susan!
Such lovely hearts Eliza! 💚 xxx
🙂 Thank you, Xenia!
So pretty against the wooden fence!
Thank you, Belinda. Natural wood makes a nice backdrop for this vine. 🙂
We have Morning Glory here, too, but yours somehow doesn’t look as wild and reckless as the one I’m seeing. I love the color of the flowers,, don’t you?
The flowers possess a kind of luminescence, which is ethereal. The vines can run pretty rampant, though. Unfortunately, the deer love to munch them, so I have to be careful where I plant them.
Morning Glories are so pretty. I have wild ones that come up here and there.
Thank you. I’ve always thought them a uniquely pretty flower.
Love this image! There is such peacefulness in the simplicity of the scene.
Thank you, Pepper. Glad you enjoyed it!
Very pretty vine, I love that blue!
Thank you, Tina!
Another magical display!!🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Lovely Eliza!
Gracias, Maria!
Gorgeous, I love them but they get outta control here!
I can imagine… at least we have cold winters to keep them in check.
No wonder morning glories are so well loved, they come from ‘the heart.’ 💙
Aw, nice thought! 🙂 💚
So pretty against the weathered wood – make the colors stand out.
Thank you, Tom. It does indeed. 🙂
Beautiful ❤️
Thank you!
So pretty! 💚
Thank you, Barbara! 🙂
Just a lovely display. My Grandma would be apalled someone would purposely grow Morning Glories. From an early age I remember her battling them in the garden, but what beauties. I remember secretly admiring hers.
Thanks, Susie. Our cold winters keep them in check and the seedlings are easy to pull. Additionally, I’ve found the deer love to eat them to nubs.
Now bindweed, a perennial stoloniferous root, is quite another matter!
I’m glad you can grow them Eliza. They are beautiful.
Your hearts and blossoms are heartwarming, Eliza.
What I find so interesting is the fact that we ❤ morning glory, but 👎 bindweed.
Ii’d be just as easy to reverse the common names and pejorative~laudatory status: binding glory and morning weed.
😀
Thank you, Tanja. I guess it is all a matter of degree of inconvenience. 🙂
That’s a hearty hello.
For sure! 😉
Oh how special is that! Great photo and beautiful plant, Eliza.
Thank you, Jet! 💚
So very pretty Eliza!
Thank you, Maria!
I actually woke up this morning from a dream of the morning glories that grew on my path to school. So lovely to see you post this!
How wonderful to align with your dream! 💚
So pretty!
Thank you!
Oh, that’s really pretty! I love the trellis and wood background.
Thanks, Denise, much appreciated!
This is really lovely – the colours, shapes and textures all complement each other so well. Nicely “seen” through the camera lens!
Thank you very much! 🙂
Amidst the gentle embrace of a weathered wooden trellis,
43 verdant hearts intertwine with 6 delicate purple circles—
a treasure I stumbled upon in a collection of saved emails,
a gentle reminder for a rainy day. My heartfelt thanks to you,
Eliza, for your thoughtful spirit.
Thank you, Heather, for your thoughtful observations! 💚
