Silent Sunday – Curb Appeal
This entry was posted in Country Living, Field Notes, My Photos and tagged birdhouse, curb appeal, native wildflowers, Silent Sunday. Bookmark the permalink.

At first I thought the push pins were for leaving notes, but now I think they’re holding on the roof! The goldenrod is beautiful; if I were a bird I’d move in with such nice landscaping around the house.
Thank you, Linda. During the nesting season, we noticed a piece of the roof had broken off and the rain was getting in, so my spouse fixed a temp. plastic roof to keep them dry. Maybe we’ll fix it better this winter? We’ll see!
Good news is we had 3 of 4 babies survive and they still come round for mealworms. Happy about that!
That is so sweet!
🙂 Thanks, Dale. The bluebirds have successfully fledged three babies and they still come round daily for their mealworms.
Awww… That’s even more special.
Pretty happy about that! 👍🏼
😊
Sweet!
Thank you, Cindy!
Such a lovely little corner of greenery with a touch of gold(enrod). 😉
Thank you, Monika… we like it a bit wild around here. 😉
Very beautiful corner of your garden Eliza!
Thank you, Maria. Birds love it here. 🙂
I can imagine!
Move-in ready with your own pokeweed berry patch!
Yup! 😉
Tee-hee! Love it.
🙂 Thanks, Laurie. It’s been a popular piece of real estate in the yard.
Great title and very true 😊
Thank you, Belinda. 🙂
Aww…yes, even birds appreciate that.

🙂 Thanks, Kris!
Delightful! 🌼💛✨🍃
Thank you, Susan!
What a cute little home for a bird family, Eliza! And how grand that they don’t have yard work! Such pretty wildflowers for them to look out upon!
Thank you, Debbie. We were thrilled to host a bluebird family this summer and best of all, they still come by a couple times a day for a snack. 💙
love!
🙂 Thanks, Amy!
Now that looks like the perfect home for raising baby bluebirds!!🙂
It seemed to be… although I’m crediting the deal clincher as the ample supply of mealworms. 😉
The goldenrod and jewelweed look inviting, but I’m sure if was the mealworms that appealed to the bluebird family. Three is a nice brood!
Yes, that was the clincher for sure. Only one fledgling lost out of four. 75% success rate is something to be proud of. 🙂
A lovely space for your feathered friends.
They are lovely neighbors! 🙂
Home, Sweet, Home. Beautiful place.
🙂 Thanks, Gary!
Looks like some prime real estate there, with an abundant bug supply available right outside the front door.
We aim to please! 🙂
Wild and wonderful!
Thank you, Tracy!
Room with a view! 😉
Indeed. (My favorite movie, too. The 80s version. 😉 )
So cozy!
Yes, totally! Thanks, Alys. 🙂
Looks so peaceful!
Thanks… a pair of bluebirds hatched four babies here this summer, so fun!
Awww how cute is that!
Cute title for this tiny abode!
Thanks, Denise!
