Silent Sunday – Cloud Patterns

I enjoy looking up at clouds when they appear 🙂
I love watching clouds. I suppose they aren’t as common in your climate as they are here. We’re having rain today, makes the garden happy. 🙂
Lovely ‘lines’ in the sky.
Thanks, Monika. A bit of bumpy turbulence for jet planes!
Can you imagine a land without clouds? It would be very dull place. The variety is almost endless – a bit like snowflakes – every one set different. Lovely photo too 🙂
Thank you, Jim. Patterns in nature are endlessly fascinating. 🙂
Gorgeous Eliza. A real sense of infinity. In contrast we have woken up to drizzle and grey skies after many hot sunny days. A welcome respite and we need the rain.
MJ
Thank you, MJ. Clouds so often catch my eye, always changing.
We’re having a couple rainy days here, too. Gives us a break from the garden work. 🙂
Summer sand ripples Eliza…but in an air stream instead 🤗❤️🙏
Wind, water and sand all respond similarly, earth is a cool place to be!
Beautiful! I love blue sky.
Thank you!
Such a pleasing ripple of white against blue.
Thank you, Laurie… clouds are mesmerizing. 🙂
In the lower part of your photo, the clouds look like long fingers.
Wind, sand and water share similar patterns, always interesting!
I love looking at clouds. Your photo is mesmerizing! 🙂
Thank you, Kymber!
We do live on a beautiful world.
For sure, beauty fulfills and calms.
The parallel clouds you’ve shown popularly are called ‘cloud streets.’ This article probably has more information than you need or want, but it is interesting.
Thank you, Linda. I’ll take a look!
I have seen rolled clouds like that only a few times. They are really cool!
Thanks, Sandy. Cloud patterns always fascinate me. Lenticular ones we rarely see, but they are common out west where my son lives. I think you once posted a great shot of mammatus clouds, which are associated with stormy weather.
Yes, they often follow rain. Quite unique they are!
So peaceful. Hayley and I often watch the clouds together, as did my little sister and I growing up.
Thank you, Maria. I used to do the same with my sister (and star-gazing, too). I think it is a wonderful and calming pastime. Good for the soul. 🙂
Indeed very good for the soul 🙂
I love looking at clouds! Thank you, Eliza, for showing us what’s above your area today.
🙂 Thank you, Debbie!
Vastly superior to smog!

Oh, yes, I quite agree! 🙂
I love watching the clouds form. Lovely!
Thank you, Belinda!
Love the blue sky, banded clouds, and the nice tree line at the bottom.
Thank you, Tom!
Ah, wander where you will, imagination. So much peace in the sky.
Thank you, Gary. 🙏🏼
They look three dimensional!
Probably because they are, 🙂 they are like jelly rolls or long ropes of moisture formed by circling convection.
It looks so peaceful – with just a hint that there might be stormy weather on the horizon.
Thank you, Sheryl. 🙂 Clouds are good reminders to be mindful. 🙂
Going with the flow 💖
Ha, nice comment, Val, and so true. No resistance up there!
A pattern pleasing to the eye…
Indeed… thanks, Barbara!
We flew through clouds yesterday and listened to the awe comments by a 4 year old behind us. Fun to hear.
I love the wonder of children, they help us see the world through new eyes. 🙂
These are very pretty and deserve the extra room you have provided with a low horizon.
Thank you, Denise. Clouds always catch my eye. 🙂
