I momentarily stopped breathing upon seeing the first shot, Eliza. Gorgeous scenery. I was also pleased to see that your skies don’t seem to have been muddied by the wildfires to the north.
Thank you, Kris. It was a lovely long view, something I have to travel to see as our woods have grown up so much.
This is picturesque scenery!
Thank you, Anne. It was a lovely day!
Your photo takes my breath away. Gorgeous.
Thank you, Alys. Living in the woods, I rarely see long vistas like this, so it was a special treat.
Nice!
That lake view is stunning Eliza. And your marsh marigolds reminded me that I forgot to look for some… I know where they grow but it was so wet and soggy this spring that I didn’t walk that way. Wishing you more blue skies this week! 😃
Thank you, Cathy. A couple days of rain ahead for us, but the sun will return on Friday!
What an inviting place to be outdoors…and on any paddle boat, too. A wonderful habitat for discoveries of reptiles and amphibian and fish, as well.
Thanks, Alice. Yes, you could see fish in the clear water, but it was too chilly for turtles, alas. 🙂
so peaceful!
It truly was, thanks, Catherine!
Gorgeous day.. This lake is beautiful and all the green is amazing. (Suzanne)
Thank you, Suzanne. Spring is so wonderful after the dormancy of winter!
My kind of walk! Lovely, Eliza.
Thank you, Dale. I hadn’t been here for years, I had forgotten how beautiful it was, with lots of wildflowers, too.
A lovely rediscovery! 🙂
Yes!
😊
What a gorgeous sky! And the painted trillium is so sweet. ♡
Thank you, Barbara. It was a beautiful spot and day.
A beauty of a day, and a beauty of a scene. I have never seen a painted trillium. Lovely!
Thank you, Laurie. Pretty like your Narrows, 🙂 and the painted trillium was a delight to see, such a delicate beauty. We just have the red ones.
Beautiful! Do you swim in the lake?
Yes, it is a state park and quite popular in the summer. There are also two summer camps for kids along its shoreline.
Painted Trillium: beautiful but I have yet to see one. Marsh Marigolds: ours are gone, probably eaten by deer.
Thanks, Hien. I think the PT is an upper elevation plant, but I’m not sure. I used to see lots of MMs, but not so much anymore. I never thought that it might be deer. 😦
What a glorious Spring walk Eliza and I had never seen a painted trillum either – such a beautiful flower 💜
Thank you, Xenia. Yet another wonder of creation. 🙂
Stunning photo Eliza!
Thank you, Cindy! x
Photos!!
🙂
The painted trillium was a great find.
I was so excited to see it. There were just a few around, all the more special for it.
Don’t get the trilliums here, but see plenty of Marsh marigolds. Looks like a lovely spring walk.
Thank you, Jill. It was definitely a lovely place to amble. 🙂
I’ll bet it’s nice-n-cool, too! Beautiful photos, Eliza; thanks for bringing us along!
Thank you, Tina. It was cool and breezy, I’m afraid I was a tad underdressed, I could have used a sweater! At least the sun was nice and warm when we were in it. 🙂
Beautiful landscape photo, Eliza! With the addition of those wildflowers, quite the walk.
Thank you, Belinda. I need to start going farther afield than I have been, there is so much more to see!
Beautiful pic!
Thanks, MB!
Blue sky. Sunshine. What a treat after the long winter.
You have summed it up perfectly, Vicki. Thank you. 🙂 🙏
Beautiful lake!!
MJ
Thank you, MJ. It is a superb location. 🙂
Lovely photos and a wonderful day for a walk!!🙂
It was a gorgeous spring day for sure. 🙂
Ahhh.
You would have enjoyed the cool breeze! 🙂
Sounds great right about now.
Lovely spring flowers and beautiful scenery.
Thank you, Rebecca!
Aahhh… Thank you Eliza 💐
Thank you, Val! It was a lovely scene to be in. 🙂
What a gorgeous walk, with some wonderful spots!
Thank you, Allison! I love May days here, perfect weather.
The clouds are beautiful – what a place!
So rare in these western wooded hills to have such a long vista! Thanks, Tom. 🙂
The flowers are lovely, but that picture of the lake takes my breath away! Very beautiful scene, Eliza.
Thank you, Debbie. That was definitely a beautiful vista!
Nice shots Eliza! Glad you spotted that trilium!
Thank you, Denise. I was delighted with it as we don’t have them here, only the red ones.
Great images Eliza!
Thank you, Maria!
Amazingly beautiful Eliza!
Thanks, Maria. It was a lovely spring day!
Wonderful!
Happy well-into-spring to you up there.
Thank you, Steve. We’ve suddenly leapt into summer with humid, hot days since Monday. It’s like someone turned a switch!
Sounds like you switched off Massachusetts and switched on Texas.
Yup!
Very beautiful photography, Eliza! I’m new here… ☺️
Thank you, John!
You’re welcome, Eliza. 😊
