Very cool in more ways than one!

  2. shoreacres's avatar shoreacres says:

I enjoyed both views, but I’ll confess that when I looked at the second photo, I had a strong urge to ease the sails and right the boat before we went over!

  3. Karen Lang's avatar Karen Lang says:

Our temp today is 95 F so I might need some of that Eliza 🥵🥶xxx

    Wow. Fascinating Eliza.

  5. Love that cropped version – I love how careful cropping can completely alter a photo.

  6. Brrr… but beautiful, Eliza…

  7. Alice's avatar Alice says:

…..going with the icy flow. It’s fun to take diagonal photos…squeezing just a little more into the picture. I do it with a windowsill of harvested tomatoes.

  8. dawnbirdau's avatar dawnbirdau says:

    Love this, Eliza.

  9. It looks like beautiful frozen waves… nice capture, Eliza!

  10. Winter’s swirl, cold and beautiful.

They’re beautiful, Eliza, but they make me shiver with cold! I trust you were properly bundled up when you discovered them?

  14. Dale's avatar Dale says:

    These are fabulous, Eliza.
I love how the first one gives the impression that it is taken from way high up (I’m talking lots and lots of feet, not just your height 😉 )

  15. Robin's avatar Robin says:

This is wonderful. I love how you captured the repeating (or almost repeating) pattern in the snow and tree. Lovely, Eliza. 🙂

Pretty curving icy shorelines. Still waiting for good stream ice here…

I love the contrast and the lines in these photos. I hope you are well my friend,

  20. Wonderful curve – literally (littoraly?) cool.

  21. Love the aqua/green colors!

  22. SC was only 4 degrees warmer than home this morning so when I pulled out early to grab some groceries, there was actually a good sized patch of ice right on the driveway ramp. Interesting.

  23. I enjoyed sharing the rivers today and loved the swirls and curves!!🙂

  24. krispeterson100's avatar krispeterson100 says:

  25. Cathy's avatar Cathy says:

Beautiful, but I can fill the chill coming from that water! BRRR!

    • Eliza Waters's avatar Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Cathy! It has been very frigid here this past week, but today the temps rise above freezing daily for the foreseeable future so we’ll thaw out a bit. 🙂

  26. What fun to have so much ice to play with.

  27. Pepper's avatar Pepper says:

Gorgeous photos but step away from the ice! 😁

  28. What a perfect pattern!
