Very cool in more ways than one!
Thank you, Sandy!
Sure!
I enjoyed both views, but I’ll confess that when I looked at the second photo, I had a strong urge to ease the sails and right the boat before we went over!
Ha, tilt-a-whirl! Thank you, Linda, great comment. 🙂
Our temp today is 95 F so I might need some of that Eliza 🥵🥶xxx
Extremes always enhance appreciation. 😉 I’ll borrow some of your warmth and send you some chill.
Deal 👏💕
Wow. Fascinating Eliza.
Thank you, Cindy. 🙂
Love that cropped version – I love how careful cropping can completely alter a photo.
Thank you, Dawn. 🙂
Brrr… but beautiful, Eliza…
Thank you, J&A, -15C this morning 🥶
…..going with the icy flow. It’s fun to take diagonal photos…squeezing just a little more into the picture. I do it with a windowsill of harvested tomatoes.
Thank you, Alice. Mixing things up a bit! 🙂
Love this, Eliza.
Thank you, Dawn!
You’re welcome.
It looks like beautiful frozen waves… nice capture, Eliza!
Thank you, Barbara. I love these abstracts I find along my walk. ❄️
Winter’s swirl, cold and beautiful.
Thank you, Laurie. ❄️💙
Gorg. Love the way the snow collected on the tree trunk too. 😊🙏🏽😊💗🙏🏽💗
Thank you, Dawn! ❄️
Moving water and wind create some striking images. Lovely capture.
Thank you, Monika!
They’re beautiful, Eliza, but they make me shiver with cold! I trust you were properly bundled up when you discovered them?
Thank you, Debbie. Definitely, head to toe!
These are fabulous, Eliza.
I love how the first one gives the impression that it is taken from way high up (I’m talking lots and lots of feet, not just your height 😉 )
Thank you, Dale. Interestingly, both were taken from the same spot. Zooming gives a whole different aspect.
Oh yes. Gotta love photography for that. Muy cool 😉
This is wonderful. I love how you captured the repeating (or almost repeating) pattern in the snow and tree. Lovely, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Robin!
beautiful
Thank you, Karina. 🙏🏼
Gorgeous images Eliza, so lovely to see the swirl close up too 💙
Thank you, Xenia. I wanted to show both for perspective. 🙂
Pretty curving icy shorelines. Still waiting for good stream ice here…
Thanks, Tom. A warming trend starts tomorrow, so all the ice will begin to melt back once again. Our waterfall is a crystal palace!
Icy waterfalls are a wonder. What a thing to have near home!
It is a wonder to watch on a daily basis, for sure.
Nice!
Thank you, Alys!
I love the contrast and the lines in these photos. I hope you are well my friend,
Thank you, Maria. Well, and staying warm!
Wonderful curve – literally (littoraly?) cool.
Thanks! yes, very cool, single digits at night has been freezing everything including building ice on rocks UNDER the river where the air mixes in!
Wonderful icy blues!
Thank you, Belinda!
Love the aqua/green colors!
Thank you, Donna!
SC was only 4 degrees warmer than home this morning so when I pulled out early to grab some groceries, there was actually a good sized patch of ice right on the driveway ramp. Interesting.
This freeze bowed way down south, it seems. Tomorrow starts a warming trend with days above freezing. Have you noticed the longer days? It’s twilight here at 5 now. 🙂
Yes, and less darkness is always a good thing.
I enjoyed sharing the rivers today and loved the swirls and curves!!🙂
Thanks! 🙂
Wow! I thought it was a giant wave at first sight.
Ha, that’s why I put in the second photo, so you could tell what you were looking at. 🙂
Beautiful, but I can fill the chill coming from that water! BRRR!
Thank you, Cathy! It has been very frigid here this past week, but today the temps rise above freezing daily for the foreseeable future so we’ll thaw out a bit. 🙂
What fun to have so much ice to play with.
That is one way of looking at it! 🙂
When summer heat’s away
Ice photographers will play.
👍🏼
Gorgeous photos but step away from the ice! 😁
Yes, I have no plans for a winter swim… thanks, Pepper!
Smart, you are. 😁
Great photos!
Thank you!
What a perfect pattern!
Thank you, Lynn!
