A beautiful jazzy arrangement!
Thank you, Julie. I needed something bright to look at after all the gray skies.
Very beautiful, Eliza! 😊
Thank you, John!
You’re welcome, Eliza. ❤️
Ooohhh la lahhhh … gorgeousness personified. very very pretty Eliza!!!! Love this
Thank you, Dawn. Even though they only last a day, daylilies are worth the effort. 😉
Only a day?! Really? They sure are gorgeous!!!!! They give their all for the 1-day shine!!!!
If the side buds are big enough, they will bloom on subsequent days as well. I just snap the old flowers off, shift things a bit and the arrangement lasts a few days.
Ah ha!!! You got the magic touch 💐
Sweet of you to say, Dawn! 🙂
Oh but you do!!!!
😘
💕
Eliza, this is stunning.
Aw, thank you so much, Alys!
Quite a lovely arrangement, Eliza. Nice vase too.
Thank you, Steve!
Such a lovely summer bouquet.
Thank you, Monika. x
What beautiful colors together. And wowza…that zinnia!
Thank you!
Wow, that is gorgeous Eliza! Singing (‘zinging’) summer! 😃
🙂 Thank you, Cathy.
Perfect summer bouquet right down to the vase!
Thank you, Judy!
Bright sunlight in a vase! Beautiful! (Would that vase possibly be from the Blenko Glass Company?)
Thank you, Barbara. Yes, it is a Blenko vase, a gift from my southern sister. 🙂
My aunt took us to the glass factory when we visited her there in West Virginia. So many beautiful pieces to choose from in the store.
So bold and bright! Really brightens up these gloomy days.
Thanks, Laurie. I definitely needed a shot of sunshine! Are you getting the wildfire haze? It seems to be lingering here.
No, we don’t seem to be getting much wildfire haze. Lucky!
Do you happen to know which evening primrose you’ve got there?
Oenothera fruticosa, I believe.
Years ago I learned that the species epithet “fruticosa” has nothing to do with fruit but comes from a Latin word meaning ‘bush, shrub.’
Thanks, Steve.
Très magnifique! The lilies look double & zinnias already?!
Merci, Alice! Yes, a tetraploid daylily (rather aggressive!) and my one and only zinnia so far. Hoping that the side branches will produce more. Slugs got nearly all my seedlings and the second sowing is slowly coming along. Bad year for zinnias!
3 pots of Zinnias…’something’ is nibbling leaves…
Your vase says summertime. How long do the evening primroses last?
Similar to the daylilies, the sidebuds will continue the bloom period. I just have to remove spent blooms daily. Doesn’t take long. 🙂
💛🧡❤️🤗💛🧡❤️
Thank you!
Lovely! The bicolor zinnia is a nice touch. I have lots of zinnias but they’re struggling this year, which is unusual.
Thank you, Ellen. Not a good year for zinnias here, too wet and the spring was cool to start. Hoping they catch up in the next few weeks!
Including seed pods in this arrangement is genius!
Thank you, Hien! I love the gray-green color, the round shape and star pattern on the top is esp. nice.
A gorgeous bouquet Eliza! 🧡
Thank you, Xenia!
Orange and yellow are such SUMMER colors! Lovely arrangement, Eliza!
Thank you, Tina!
And my favorite warm color palette!
Thank you, Sandy, glad it hit the sweet spot!
Sure did.
It’s a very bright and joyful bouquet, Eliza. That’s a fabulous daylily!
Thank you, Kris. I was craving a bit of sunshine… it did the trick, plus it brought today’s sunshine. 🙂
A lovely summer bouquet and that vase, gorgeous! I just bought a beautiful bouquet of daisies to brighten a corner of our living room, we’re on the same page, Eliza.
Thanks, Kim! Flowers make all the difference in the home.
The colors in this one remind me of Fall, my favorite season! Needless to say, this is just gorgeous!
Thank you, Debbie!
Love the colors and I learned what an evening primrose is. Thank you! 😁
Thank you, and you’re welcome, Pepper! 🙂
So pretty in one of your gorgeous vases 😊
Thank you, Belinda! 🙂
Lovely Eliza! The poppies make it so special. My grandfather’s family were poppy plantation owners for generations in Bulgaria. I know poppies, and plants, instinctively because of their genes.
Thank you, Cindy! I think it is a DNA thing, for sure. 😉
The vase complements the flowers perfectly. Having the daylilies centered, to extend its color, is the perfect touch.
Thank you, Linda! That vase is best with orange, yellow and contrasting blue/purple. A good one for autumn flowers.
so very beautiful
Thank you, Sylvia!
An ephemeral beauty. I love the colors with the bottle.
Thank you, Amy. Even if they only last a day, I enjoy a vaseful of them.
Same here. It is the tropical gardenias for me.
Yes❣️get you autumnal vibe going.
🙂 More like blazing hot summer, hehe!
Ride those waves!
Fantastic summer arrangement, Eliza–the bold and bright colors with the orange vase and emerald grass in the background. Love the accent of the poppy seed pods, too.
Thank you, Jet! Lots of green this summer with all the rain we are getting.
So bright and cheerful
Thank you, Karina!
Equisite! My poppies are not yet in bloom, but I am hoping they will be within the next week or two.
Thank you, Maria. The self-sowing annual poppies always bloom reliably here the first of July. They are about done blooming now, the rain ruined dozens of buds… too wet for them this year!
Gorgeous flower arrangement, especially love how cozy the beautiful Zinnia looks!!
Thank you, S!
How beautful makes my heart merry-Michele
Glad to hear it, thanks, Michele!
