  7. Nice, crisp ice. I looked but didn’t really find much that wanted to be photographed. Glad that you did, Eliza. Lovely.

  8. Alice says:

Magical that ice grows like that. Karen Lang sees the ice animal…maybe a Chinese New Year Dragon?

  9. Dale says:

    Nature’s lace. Lovely!

  10. Dee Min says:

Beautifully captured Eliza—texture, color, contrast!!!! Pure artistry. Love it 😍

  11. shoreacres says:

The seeming ‘furriness’ of a portion of the ice certainly supports the vision of a critter. Its ‘eye’ and open ‘mouth’ suggest it might be on the prowl for dinner.

I’ve always been enchanted by the look of ice and snow, the way the freezing process makes art of the most mundane objects. Great shot Eliza.

  14. Beautiful contrast and art!

They look like lacy icy edges.

I love this photo: crystalline next to earthy and organic–nice combination! Great capture, Eliza.

  24. Vicki says:

Love the lacey pattern of the ice and it’s cooling me down just looking at it.
Take care you don’t slip. 🙂

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Vicki, glad it helps make your feel cooler. 🙂 At our age, we really have to watch the ice, which can be treacherous. My husband fell just this morning. Not good, but he’s okay, thankfully.

  25. How very complex! Looks like giant snowflakes welded together. Great spot!

  26. Wonderful, love the fascinating designs on icy edges.🙂
