Beautiful! I love boardwalks like this. Wish I was there.
Thank you, Audrey. It is a lovely spot, the boardwalk brings us to the heart of the bog, so colorful this time of year.
I miss those colors so much, so beautiful…plus I love paths!
Thank you, Gary. We’ve had a dry summer, so the colors are quite rich this year.
Beautifully autumnal! 🍁💛🍂🧡
Thank you, Trini!
That’s the kind of boardwalk I like! Very inviting.
Yes, it invites you to see what is around the next corner. Loveliness at every turn. 🙂 Thanks, Maria!
Oh! I would love to walk along there! The boardwalk itself is inviting – and then there are all those pretty colours to appreciate along the way.
It is a lovely place – one of my favorites, esp. this time of year.
So still. 🍁🍂🌿
Ooh, you picked up the energy just from the photo, Karen. ❤ It is a very sacred spot to me, truly special.
Beautiful and sacred. 🙏🏻💕
Wonderful colours
Thank you, Sheree. Fall is here!
We’ve a few weeks to wait for fall here
This is the “perfect” fall picture! Amazing!
Thank you, Janis!
Wonderful color.
Thank you!
Lovely colours and intriguing pathway
Thank you, Derrick. Fall is esp. pretty here with lots of red leaves from all corners.
This walk just begs you to begin…
Yes, it is so inviting. One of my favorite places to visit. ❤
At first glance, I thought this was one of the boardwalks at a refuge I favor. Then I saw that beautiful color and thought, “Nope. Same boards, different trees.”
Yes, fall in New England is in full swing. 🙂
This wordless Wednesday serves as a call for a felicitous fall.
I hope so. The colors have come on quickly, and last night’s rain and wind have taken a lot of leaves down. Thanks, Steve.
The wind leaves leaves down and can’t put them back up.
Very nice leading line with the boardwalk. Nicely composed.
Thank you, Deborah!
Great place for a picnic.
I think there is a picnic table at the head of the trail. 🙂 Being a single track for the most part, made it tricky to ‘social distance’ from other walkers. One had to back up to a ‘pull off’ in order to let another pass by – Sunday wasn’t our best choice of days to visit! 😉
You hit all the photography marks on this one – perfect.
Thank you very much, Judy!
Glorious! I’d love to walk down there.
Thank you, Susan. If you ever come to New England, I’ll take you there. 😉
What a kind offer! That would be fun 🙂
What a beautiful, inviting boardwalk! 🙂
Thank you, Joanne. I love this place!
What a glorious place to walk.
It certainly is, one of my favorites! Thanks, Laurie.
Real autumn colours. Here in France most things are still green and it was 25 degrees today. I am ready for Autumn now!
It’ll soon come, for sure. Ours is a bit early this year due to drought stress. The colors have been lovely so far.
Already?!! It is beautiful, though. The most tree color I’ve got was provided by a dead toyon.
Yes, foliage season is about a week early this year. We got rain and wind overnight, good news for the dry land, not so much for leaf peepers, as it brought down a lot of leaves.
Great image Eliza! Brings back memories of some of my favorite places to photograph!
Thank you, Reed! Fall is a great time to be out and about!
Now that’s color!! Beautiful, Eliza!! We’re getting there too. YAY!! xo
Thank you, Amy! 🙂
Gorgeous – captures a real feeling of place and time. We are having a real cold snap – your photo of autumn seems more appropriate for these temperatures than our current springtime! Some parts of SA are even having some snow.
Thanks, Carol. Oh, wow, unusual spring weather for you! Our little warm-up after the frosts is over and now we’re back to temps more typical of fall. We’re heading down the road to snow, alas.
What an inviting boardwalk.
It really is… it floats above the bog and allows us to visit all the unusual plants close up without harming them or getting stuck in the mire. Nice spot!
A beautiful and very inviting composition. I want to walk along that path!
Thank you very much, Allison. I love this place!
I’d love to take a walk there right now 🙂 Lovely
Thank you, MB – it is a beautiful place to walk, so peaceful. 🙂
Beautiful!🙂
Thank you!
Love the crooked boardwalk and fall colors. 😊💙
Thank you, Irene! 🙂
Glorious sight
Thank you, Dorris!
Love your flower posts befor this one, but trees have a special place in my heart. Wow, spectacular colors! Just moved to Texas, so I’m waiting what Fall is going to look like!
Thank you very much. Hope you enjoy your new home!
Wow, beautiful! Is that boardwalk on your property? A great idea.
Thank you, Cathy. Not mine, this is a protected bog property that is owned by a college consortium for research, but is open to the public. It is a pretty unique habitat, a little piece of Canada, 500 miles to the south. 😉
Lovely! It’s a good year for fall colours.
Thank you, Belinda! I think the lack of rain must have concentrated the pigments. It’s shaping up to be a nice autumn.
That boardwalk is always a bit of a challenge when I carry my full pack and, although it doesn’t move, the various angular slants as you walk makes if feel like it is rolling above the bog.The color was certainly beautiful the day you visited.
Thank you, Steve. Parts of it are quite narrow. It was tough to socially distance on a busy Sunday!
A friend had given me the heads up on the crowded boardwalk during mid-summer so I haven’t gone there. Possibly mid this coming week would be less visited.
Yes, weekdays seem less busy.
A well captured moment!
Thank you, Eunice!
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Harold!
so peaceful Eliza.. I love the scene.
Thank you, Alison. ❤
😍😍😍 White flowers (a few posts ago) and autumn are two of my favorite things! Not a lot of autumn in the South, though. ☹️
Yes, but your winters are much more enjoyable! 🙂
I miss snow, too! ❄️ I would have to readjust to cold though: 59 now feels like 29 to me, lol.
😀 My capillaries are adjusting right now…going into the 30s tonight, but the moon is lovely and bright!
😍🌕
Nice to see such a nice autumn path!
Thank you, Maria. One of my favorites!
Very inviting!!!
Yes, it really beckons you onward. Thanks, Denise!
