Mean? Chipmunks fill their cheek pouches with food to carry back to their den to store and eat later. For this guy, it’s a really good day!
Oh. It looks like it was sitting there waiting to be eaten. So I thought there was some balck humor there. 🙂
Being rodents, there is a risk of becoming prey, but generally they are pretty quick to run when danger is near. However, this fellow is clearly enjoying his free lunch!
So I’m glad he’s enjoying it.

So cute! The chipmunks are out … Spring! Although I realize you are reposting this. I’ll be seeing my munks at the lake soon and boy, do they EAT UP! Lol
They are cute, but they drive the dogs nuts when they scurry along the front walk and live in the stone wall. The windowsills are all scratched up. They just thumb their noses at her!
