Aw, a sea anemone! I do so miss the sea. Beautiful colors. Thanks!
Thank you, Mary. It’s always a thrill to find an anemone. ๐
I do sometimes wish we lived closer to the sea.
Vacations are necessary just for the reason to visit the sea!
Oh, how beautiful! An anemone. Wonderful capture, Eliza. โค
Thank you, Robin!
So beautiful! The colors are perfect. I love the yellow rock! And the light rainbow colors on that *thing*. Lol I don’t know what it is but it’s very pretty! ๐ โค
(Seems to be a sea creature by what others are saying?)
It is a sea anemone, it filters sea water for microscopic particles to eat. Thanks for your visit, Kim. ๐
That’s interesting! It’s always good to learn something new! You’re very welcome! I always love your posts & pictures! ๐

A day at the ocean is always a good day! Beautiful!
I agree and it was a wonderful day indeed. Thanks, Laurie!
Wow!
๐ Thanks!
Nice color Eliza!
Thank you, Maria. ๐
Very nice.
Thank you!
I love the subtle colors. ๐
Thank you, Karen. You must have wonderful anemones in Australia.
Ooooh, aaaah!
๐ Thanks, Heather!
Has Petey recovered?
His pathology report came back clear, and his scar is doing well. Thanks for asking ๐
Good to hear!
So you are using this heatwave for a seaside visit? What a lovely creature. Didn’t know you could find them on the Atlantic coast, Eliza. That is a familiar scene from the coast of OR. How beautiful to see it alive and well. Hope you both are alive and well, and enjoying yourselves, too. โค โค โค
You know your fauna. ๐ This was taken in SoCal, where I just spent an absolutely wonderful week with friends. The escape did me good!
That is beyond amazing, Eliza! An escape to the West Coast! How very special. And how good to see them alive and well there. โค
I was going to ask where you had taken this – but I see my question has been answered. I wish I could take a trip to the ocean right about now (though I am guessing I will really want to take that sort of trip in a month or two!).
Midwinter is a good time to escape!
Oh, most definitely! Though I wouldn’t object to leaving for early winter and late winter as well.
๐
Crystal clear, fantastic shot! And I like that rock on the right with the stripes and layers.

Thank you! It was a marvelous and memorable day, poking around tidal pools with a good friend. ๐
๐
Great shot through the water Eliza! Hope your feet got wet ๐
Thank you, Val. I managed to teeter around the edges! It was a bit too chilly for wading. ๐
I am so impressed with your beautiful photos Eliza and each one is a delightful surprise.
Thank you so much, Dor!
