I feel cooler just looking at that! It’s been such a hot dry summer here.

Bogs are so interesting and full of wildlife. Do you get carnivorous plants in yours? We have species like butterwort and sundew in UK bogs and mires.

  17. Lovely, tranquil scenes!

These capture the abundance of wetlands. There’s always something interesting going on. The water and the reflections are lovely.

That first one really held me…all the texture at the top and then the circles in the water.

  22. Sights that someone can get pleasantly bogged down in.

  23. Bela Johnson's avatar Bela Johnson says:

So necessary. We had a bog dry up at the side of our long driveway before we left Maine. Everything to do with climate change. It made us sad. We used to hear the peepers at night. I know when the girls were in primary school studying science things, they would go up and put frog eggs in a jar. Those were the good old days.

  24. Ah, one of my favorite environments. Lovely!
