Ooh…Just gorgeous!
Thank you, Julie!
February light is so pretty
February light is so pretty
Yes, each day longer and more luminous… thanks, Ellen!
Now that’s beautiful. The light!
Thanks, Bela. Lots of gray days lately, so even a small window is a wonder. 🙂
We’ve had more rain lately than I remember in 20 years on the islands. Interesting weather times.
Winter can be beautiful!
It may be cold, but the beauty is undeniable. 🙂 Thanks, Audrey!
Glittering white woods Eliza, the turning of the season. Warmth speaking your name…finally 😂❤️🙏
Thanks, Mark. Still at least a month yet to go before this all melts. 🙂
After all that time, no wonder you appreciate the sun and greenery when it comes kind lady 🤣❤️🙏
You betcha!
Haha 🤣😂👌❤️🙏
How lovely for you to see the sun!
A brief interlude, but most welcome! Thanks, Anne.
Great shot
Thank you, Sheree!
So beautiful. Our grey days are back 😁
Thank you, Rupali. Lots of gray clouds here as well. Big snow storm tonight!
Hope all is well Eliza.
Thanks, we make it through just fine. 🙂
👏😊
Beautiful capture of the sun through the snow covered trees. Magical!
Thank you, Pamela!
❄️💙 ❄️ ☀️
Thank you, Barbara!
So peaceful & timeless……
Thanks, yes, very peaceful with the snow-lined branches glowing in the sun. 🙂
So beautiful! The type of scene that would make me stop and just enjoy.
Thank you, Pepper. Absolutely!
even though its a photograph, I can hear the stillness of days like these…
Thank you, J&A. So few folks go out in the cold, it is wonderfully quiet. 🙂
I remember. We haven’t have a snowy day yet, unfortunately…
Beautiful start to a wonderful day. We don’t really need more snow…but we’re getting more anyways. A lot!
Thanks, Alice. Yes, you’re getting it worse nearer the coast. Hunker down and stay warm!
Your flowers may not be blooming yet, but that colorful light does a fine job of complementing the pristine landscape.
Thank you, Linda. I love when the rising sun lights up the forest.
Lovely photo, Eliza. I love the contrast of the sun’s light with all the white and gray. Very nice.
Thank you, Debra. It’s nice to see the sunrise, we’ve had a lot of gray days.
Way too much gray. I need some color!!
Snow shoeing is off my list, too. But I wear a knee brace and at least get out to walk daily. Outdoor time is essential!
When you have dogs, and no fenced yard, you get to walk…no choice!!
The golden sun on the snow is so beautiful. Are you getting more snow from the storm coming up the coast?
Thanks, yes, they are predicting about 7″, but eastern coastal areas could get double that. It’s the gusty winds that worry me. We have lots of old trees here that could damage power lines. Fingers crossed!
I hope your power stays on. We are supposed to get winds, but again, most are on the coast.
A beautiful time of the day that many people miss!
I like your banner photo, is that your house?
Thanks, Maria. That is my neighbor’s house up the hill from us. A beautiful 1700s colonial.
Beautiful serenity
Thank you, Dale. Mornings like this are a gift!
No kidding
Sunshine makes everything prettier … even all that snow!!
Absolutely! Thanks, Debbie. 🙂
What a gorgeous start to the day Eliza! 💛 xxx
Thank you, Xenia. So nice to see the sun after so many gray days!
Lovely light illuminating this attractive winter scene 😊
Thank you, Belinda. Only one month to equinox!
A beautiful start to the day! 😁
It certainly was, thanks. Even though it clouded over after an hour, that was a welcome bit of sunshine. 🌞
Gorgeous light.
Thank you, Sandy!
Beautiful but I take it the weather hasn’t gotten any warmer?!
https://krispgarden.blogspot.com/
Thanks, Kris. If you call 30s ‘warmer’ 😉 Definitely better than the single digits that took forever for us to get beyond. It hit 40 a couple days ago and we were basking in the warmth! 🙂
Oh, that light!
And there hasn’t been much of it lately… happy for this sunrise yesterday!
Still cold there I see
Yes, winter is very LONG here! 🙂
Perfect 🩵🩵🩵
Thank you, Karen!
Lovely warmth shining through…. 💛
I hope you’re hunkered down, Eliza! We are, we’re receiving blizzard conditions now with snow, winds 25+, and it’s to get worse through the night. We’re forecasted up to 20″, I imagined you’re going to get more. Stay safe!
Thank you, Donna. Fortunately, we are on the northwest edge of the storm. Another coastal one, looks like Cape Cod and the Islands will get the worst winds… yikes! Stay safe and warm, hope your power stays on. 🤞🏼
I hope you made it through! We got VERY lucky, only a few inches, the winds are playing havoc though.
Love first light ❤
Yes, a new day unfolding!
Very pretty light. Much prettier than what we are experiencing today. Hope you’re hunkered down and keeping warm in this blizzard. This winter just really needs to be over.
Thank you, K. Sharp winds, but it could be worse (I am thinking of the Cape and islands). I keep thinking at least the precipitation is good for the garden. 😉
That’s one way to be optimistic about it!
👍🏼
I can almost hear the crunch of winter boots trudging through the winter snow.
Yes, we walk in all weather! 🙂
We do too though Wilson is less enthusiastic about the deep stuff. I don’t mind as long as I’m dressed appropriately. 😉
A lovely snowy vista evoking Narnia, Eliza!
Thank you, Kim. Our neighbor has an old grown up Xmas tree farm that we call Narnia. It’s dark and mysterious!
It sounds wonderful!
SO pretty, Eliza. 🙂
Thank you, Jane. 🙏🏼 Winter has a lot of beauty. 🙂
How much did you get? MA got hit hard closer to the coast we got at least 10 inches not sure how much more with all the blowing.
We got around 4-6″ … like you said, hard to tell with the drifting.
I love the light filtering through. 👏
Thank you, Flavia!
The warm tones in the sky contrast nicely with the bluish cast in the shaded areas.
Thank you, Steve.
