It is Day Five of Cathy at Words and Herbs annual ‘A Week of Flowers‘, where she invites any and all to join her each day this week (until 7th December) to share a photo or two, taken over the past year, of something bright and colorful from our gardens. Click the link to see what others have shared or to join in yourself.
Thanks, Cathy, for this cheerful pick-me-up meme to brighten our early December days!

What a beautiful selection of what is now a memory!
Thank you, Anne. And wonderful memories to look back upon. 🙂
A fabulous reminder of the past summer Eliza. All these flowery photos are inspiration for next year’s planting. The Lysimachia is beautiful!
Thank you, Cathy. It is rewarding to have a look back and imagine those warm, sunny days. 🙂
Bumble bees must love that gorgeous Lysimachia!
Yes, I try to provide a variety of nectar for them. 🙂
Gooseneck Loosestrife.. one of my favourites!
Thanks, Chris!
Your flowers are beautiful!
Thank you, Kymber!
My pleasure!
I especially enjoyed seeing the photo on the left. Both what I think are poppy seedheads and that large pinkish flower seem to be made of porcelain themselves. They’re quite beautiful!
Thank you, Linda. That arrangement was one of my favorites this summer.
Another cheerful selection – I wish I could grow this Lysimachia but sadly it doesn’t like our dry and hot summers.
Thank you, Annette. Water is pretty key for that one. It makes a dandy cut flower, too.
How can that not warm up the coldest day? I cannot. Beautiful.
Thank you, Dale. Wicked cold today! Stay warm. 🙂
Here too! I wimped out and stayed home. Kept a fire going. Was perfection.
Nothing like hunkering down by the fire, add a bit of holiday music, yes!
Yesssssss
Lovely.
Thank you, Alys!
I do miss summer’s plentiful displays! Thanks for sharing yours, Eliza.

Thank you, Kris. It has been nice taking a step back to those warm, summer days. 🙂
Ooh, these are nice. Maybe you could blow these up and hang them outside where you have a coffee Eliza 😂❤️🙏
Thank you, Mark, it is enough to page through the photos. 🙂
Lovely, lovely, lovely!
Thank you! 🙂
Very pretty.
Thank you, Pepper!
Lysimachia clethroides seems to be the favorite. I can not identify much in the third picture.
Thanks, Tony. That vase holds astilbe, coneflower, globe thistle, cleome, veronica and lemon balm leaves. 🙂
Oh, I see that now. I should have recognized all but the veronica and lemon balm leaves. Globe thistle looks like some sort of allium.
Wowsah Eliza, these are all so beautiful! 💖✨️ xxx
🙂 Thanks much, Xenia! xx
Gorgeous, just gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the beauty!
Thank you, Beth!
All are beautiful flowers and images, but the curving Lysimachia is a knockout.
Thank you very much, Tom!
A lovely selection, Eliza.
Thank you, Vicki! 💕
The beauty of a garden – gorgeous. 🌸
Thanks much!
So many beauties!
Thank you, Eunice. Garden love!
Amen, everyone needs a patch of color for the bees and insects, then left for the birds to devour the seeds.
So nice to revisit summer with this beautiful collection!
Thank you, Belinda! Keeps the memories of summer fresh. 🙂
These made my heart sing 💐🎶💐
Ah, so glad to hear that, Val! 💖
A lovely colorful collection!
Thank you!
Dr. Seus flowers delightful!
Thank you, Nailah! 💕
