    Ah, the gentle boundaries that can more easily be felt than described. What a super photo! I love watching the leaves with their individual dances to the ground, especially when, unexpectedly, one will go back up for a few feet before continuing downward again. When it is my turn to return to the earth, that’s how I want to do it! I hope you have a gorgeous autumn! Enjoyed all your bouquets this year.

    Soon, most of those pretty leaves will fall, to let in more light. That’s a Beech? Not a Black Birch? Looks healthy…no BLD.

      At first, I thought it was a beech because it had BIG leaves, and the breeze floated the limbs like beech do. But upon closer inspection, I saw it is a black birch, a consoling look-alike in the loss of beech trees on my property.

      Thanks, Kris. We’re having an early one this year as we’ve had cool nights for over a month. And today’s high is only 65, summer is definitely over. 🍁

    I love the warm yellows of fall leaves – I was sure they were beech as well. There are still beech where I live, but the blight has dropped quite a few.
