Not So Silent Sunday – Morning Choir
This entry was posted in Field Notes, My Photos and tagged birdsong, nature photography, Silent Sunday, spring chorus. Bookmark the permalink.

Haha 😂 Oh well, at least its getting warmer too 🤣❤️🙏
Oh, I love the dawn chorus! I am sad when breeding season is over, I miss their sweet calls.
I love catching a tree full of birds!
This gang was chittering away (goldfinches) and if it wasn’t so cold, I would have stood there longer. 🙂
I have no trouble at all imagining it! Darn cold. This snap will be with us all week.
Amazing Lynette.
Yes, I’ve done the same… comes with the territory! 😉
Sorry, Eliza, i type faster than I think.
It is a welcome sign of Spring, even if they do wake us up in the early morning hours. Wishing you a very Happy Spring, dear Eliza🌸
Thank you kindly, and the same to you!
I enjoy listening to the dawn chorus in our garden 🙂
A happy way to start the day!
I love the dawn chorus
Such a delightful way to start the day, they are exuberant!
They’re waiting for those tender buds to shoot. 😊
Aren’t we all, hehe? A happy spring sound. 🙂
The birds started singing at 5:10 this morning….delightful!
A great wake up call, much preferred to a buzzing alarm clock!
I have only been able to be outside working one day so far because of rain which seems to be prevalent weather pattern right now. When I was out there, I was hearing a woodpecker who had a pattern going, and it sounded like an old landline ringing. It made me smile.
The birds announce spring in many ways, all welcome signs that winter is over, rejoice! 🐦⬛🪺
I have slept with my windows open recently and the chorus of birds starts very early!! Nice sounds to wake up to again.
I agree, it always makes me smile. Nice way to awaken.
Love bird choirs!
The best! 🙂
Given our rain, gloom, and about a thirty degree temperature drop, things are quiet around here — apart from the loud-mouthed bluejays demanding peanuts. I’ll enjoy the thought of your choir until ours warms up and begins to sing again.
Thank you, Linda. Yours must be in a bit of a shock. These are mostly goldfinches, and they twitter madly!
love the leaves on the trees 🙂
Bird-leaves! 😉
Migrations and nesting create such a chatter! Love it 😍
Me, too. Such a joyful sound!
Birds do like to sing!
Lucky for us! 🙂
The best way to welcome the start of a new day!

IKR? I love to hear them this time of year.
A reminder that spring is the season of renewal and rebirth. Let’s hear it for bird calls (pun intended).
Amen to that, thanks, Monika!
A great way to start the day. We are in mating season and the birds have been calling all day long.
Agreed, birds bring such joy.
The sparrows have been singing up a storm here, I love the sound!
Their exuberance is contagious! 🙂
Our oak tree looks about the same, always covered in birds
So uplifting!
What a wonderful thing to wake up to … on any morning! Last night, I heard spirited singing, looked outside, and there was a finch — soloing for all he was worth!!
Thanks, Debbie. It really lifts the mood!
My place is crazy too!
Crazy wonderful! 🙂
Oh my God, Eliza, honestly this could be a picture taken exactly on the way to my school those many years ago. The same tree, the same sky, the same birds sitting exactly the way they are here. Such pure bliss to see this image, so many wonderful memories wash over me. Thank you 🫶🏻❤️
Thank you, Isha, glad to trigger happy memories for you. I’m grateful that birdsong is universal. 🙂
It is wonderful to see and hear them all singing their hearts out, isn’t it!
Absolutely, hail to spring! 🐦⬛ 🪺 🌷
I bet the birdsong is delightful! Is their “choir” tree near your home?
Yes, the tree is in our backyard. They were waiting for the bird feeders to be placed out, singing for their breakfast!
Nothing like the sound of songbirds early in the morning, a beautiful start to a spring day.
I love to hear them, esp. after the hiatus of winter.
Birdsong – the perfect alarm clock. 😊
Agreed! 🙂
