    Both the lawn and the garden are immensely appealing, but the woods behind the garden look just as delightful!

    Both lovely in their own way, but for some strange reason I am drawn to the picture of the dappled lawn. Maybe it’s because I live on the edge of the woods.

    Such a lovely vista. I imagine running barefoot across the lawn, slowing down to walk through the flower beds, and then disappearing into the shady woods to explore! 😁

    A sunny lawn and garden surrounded by a lovely shaded woodland — the best of the great outdoors in summer.

    I see lawns as basically sterile (although they are calming to contemplate). But meadows & flower gardens are FULL of life!

      Very true, but judging from the birds that perch and hawk over my lawn, along with the robins hunting there, there is a benefit to a chemical-free lawn with violets, dandies, etc. in it. 🙂

      Thank you, Tom. You’re too kind… I’m afraid I’ve become lazy since I got my cell phone when my Nikon would do a better job. Less detail, but more impressionism. 😀
