Beautiful 🧡
Thank you, Karen. Nice to be out in the fresh air. 🙂
Raindrops reflecting tiny images of their surroundings – gorgeous. ❤
Thank you, Joanne! Nice and foggy, too. 🙂
Just wonderful.
Thank you, Cindy! 💕
Such raindrops would be a happy sign for me. I hope they are for you too.
We’ve had an overabundance of rain, so lots of flooding and road washouts. I really wish I could share some with those in drier areas!
Excellent.
Thank you, R!
Rain, and snow, and ice…they are very pretty!
Thank you, Maria. We’ve been having all three!
Definitely represents January 2024 in Massachusetts…in abundance! Wet, wild & windy.
Thank you, Alice. A change ahead for this week!
Very pretty, especially with the snow on the ground. 🙂 And yet… it doesn’t seem right to see raindrops on your blog in January.
Thank you, Robin. Well, traditionally, we often have had a ‘January thaw’ so I guess we could say that was it. Now we’re heading into our traditional ‘deep freeze’ this week. Still, the temps overall are running about 10º above average and that is quite non-traditional.
Amazing! You have quite an eye! 😊

🙂 Thanks much! x
A beautiful capture of a wintry wet day
Thank you, Donna!
Beautiful, but it looks very cold. 🙂
Actually, it wasn’t too bad, about 10C. Today is the start of a week of below freezing weather, with one day that’ll be frigid even by my standards!
Who doesn’t like raindrops on a ‘whatever’ — especially when they’re as beautifully presented as these!
Thank you, Linda! They brighten up a gray day. 🙂
The raindrop seem magical.
Thank you, the elixir of life!
If there were a photo to represent my mood this weekend, this is it. Peaceful, resting, and taking in the weather (gloomy weather can be perfect sometimes!). Beautiful shot.
Thank you, Randall. It does express the mood of this rainy weather we’ve been having. Today we begin a plunge that will turn our world to ice!
I love this. Beautiful!
Thank you, Kymber!
Like a lovely crystal necklace!
Lovely analogy, thank you, Andrea!
Raindrops in January. Yikes! In what universe does this happen in New England in January? I guess ours, now. Even fifteen years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined it.
IKR? It really does make one pause, wondering where CC is leading us. Milder winters, for sure.
More of a challenge, too, with the terrible storms we’ve been having.
Absolutely…
They look like strung beads! But Eliza, where’s your snow???
The white in the background is snow cover, but we’ve had mostly rain so far this winter.
We had raindrops like that too this morning, beautifully captured
Thank you, Karina. 🙏🏼
We had lots of raindrops yesterday, too 😉
Lovely!
Thank you, Dale. Now comes the freeze-up!! Stay warm. 💕
Here, too!
That made me think of ‘stillness’ Eliza. Beautiful x
Thank you, Alison. It was a lovely, quiet day. 🙂
Love the misty background and pretty raindrops! A wonderful composition.
Thank you, Barbara!
Icy raindrops by the looks of it. They reflect the light beautifully.
Thank you, Kris. Actually, it was close to 50º yesterday when I took this. The cold snow creates the fog when it meets the warmer air. Today is a different matter… back to winter!
Like suspended gems, beautiful!
Thank you, Belinda! I love the analogy. 🙂
Raindrops … on roses and whiskers on … well, you know haw the rest goes. 😀 … lovely image. 😀
Thanks much! 🙂
We should not be photographing raindrops in New England in January. But we are. Nice composition and capture, Eliza. Looks like April. 🙂
Thanks, Steve. 🙂 At least it felt like March, but we are solidly back to winter now!
Our gardens will flourish this season. Your shot sums it up perfectly a very wet winter.
Thank you, Eunice. High water table for sure!
My yard will be forever changed, once again.
An interesting photo, Eliza.
Wishing you good health and happy times in 2024.
Thank you, Cynthia! Same back to you. 🙂
Gotta love raindrops. 😊
I love how the world reflects upside down in them!
Yes! Gets my attention every time. 😊
Your photography is so thoughtful. Beautiful the way the drops all seem to be so full and ready to release, yet they hang on.
Thank you, Susie. It seems we’ve had more rain than snow this winter, although it has been snowing steadily all day, about 4″ so far. So pretty!
This photo is one of the reasons I love viewing others’ blogs on my computer screen and not my cell phone, to really look at those drops and the reflections on them! Great shot, Eliza!
Thank you very much, Donna!
Pretty drops, and the forest background adds context.
Thanks, Tom. 🙂
Awesome to have all the vertical trees out of focus in the back while the horizontal front is sharp with the droplets. NICE!
Thank you very much, Denise, much appreciated!
Excellent image, Eliza. Well chosen aperture and focal points. This really gives me a sense of place.
Thank you kindly, Jane. I wanted the snow and trees in the background for that reason. Fog in winter with snow cover, plus raindrops, not a common occurrence!
Like a secret hides some where in the fog.
Nice thought!
