🌸🌺🌸👏🧡
🙂 Thanks, Karen!
That purple!
That’s ‘Voodoo’ – such a rich, velvety burgundy!
Very beautiful, Eliza! 🥰
Thank you, John!
You’re welcome. 😊
Gorgeous! I’ve never planted Dahlias, but several of my friends are crazy about them. Maybe I should try 🙂
Thanks, Maria! I love them and think they are worth the extra effort of digging the tubers and storing them over winter. Then there’s always extras to give away. 😉
I can see why!
Gorgeous Dahlias .. and they are perfect in a vase. 😁🌸
Thank you, Gerrie!
Love the variation in color!
Thank you, Sandy!
Welcome!
I love the tone and colors in this group. Very nicely done.
Thank you, David. Dahlias are a lovely flower.
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Su!
💐💐
xo
That’s a wonderful collection of tones. We know summer is winding down when the dahlias start to bloom.
Worth the wait, for sure. Thanks, Steve.
This is a beautiful array of colours!
Thank you, Anne. Late summer abundance!
I do love dahlias…
Aren’t they grand? Such a beautiful flower!
🌸🌺🌼
How do you spell summer? Dahlia. 🙂
Ah, yes, agreed! 🙂
Beautiful…looks like an oil painting.
Thank you, Alice!
Gorgeous combo! Reminds me of something you’d see in a Dutch Masters still life painting.
What a lovely compliment, thank you, Ellen!
Beautiful flowers.
Thank you, Shashi!
I recently had a lesson in dahlias, as I thought they were all huge. My brother was growing the smaller size.
There is great variety for sure, from small window box, buttons, collarettes, cactus up to huge dinner plate sizes. I limit myself to blooms under 4″ and 5′ tall plants. The cultivars are endless, making it tough to choose just a few!
W💖nderful!!
Thank you, Susan! x
just an incredible display
Thank you, K!
I love dahlia…these are wonderful (Suzanne)
Merci, Suzanne!
Oh how lovely! I know a couple who named their daughter Dahlia.
Thank you, Barbara. I’ve noticed in the past decade or so, that Victorian flower names are becoming popular again, like Violet and Daisy.
I need to plant some of these next year!
They certainly are worth it, Debbie. 🙂
They are just beautiful
Thank you, Belinda!
The dark purple and the orange-yellow dahlias make a lovely combination, Eliza. I’m missing any dark purples this year.
Thank you, Kris. These are my favorites. I’m getting tired of the pink ones and may ‘retire’ them at the end of the summer. Time for something new. I like your ‘La Luna’, or something similarly pale and creamy.
Fabulous!!!🙂
Thank you! 🙂
The colors of these dahlias are amazing. 😊
Thank you, Pepper. These are my favorites!
I so admire people who can grow dahlias! I have never tried. After watching numerous garden shows, growing them seemed so difficult to me!
Lovely color variations!
They are rather easy, but do require a bit of fussing initially. I use tomato cages (support is a must, but the foliage quickly hides them). Then of course in our climate, they must be cut down and dug up in the fall. I hose them off, let them dry a day before cutting them apart, sorting the best tubers out and wrapping them in newspaper to overwinter in the cellar.
Gorgeous combo! Reminds me of something you’d see in a Dutch Masters still life painting.
Thank you for that great compliment, Ellen!
Ooh, that dark one is gorgeous Eliza! I have seen so many dahlias this year I think they have had a revival. Your collection is quite a delight! 😃
Thank you, Cathy! These are my favorites, l love that ‘Voodoo’ especially– so rich!
Great colors
Thanks, Alex! 🙂
Oh how I enjoyed this glorious show of dahlias, Eliza.
Thank you, Jet, glad to hear it!
Squealing!
🙂 They are definitely squeal-worthy, lol!
They are so exuberant, Eliza! Whenever I see dahlias in late summer and autumn, I always think it would be nice to plant some in our garden, but I always forgot to sow seeds in springtime.
Thank you, Tanja. They take extra work, but so worth it. 🙂
…as your fabulous blossom attest!
Awww, thank you! 🙂
My pleasure.
Wow! What a stunning bunch!
🙂 Thanks, Dale!
Pleasure is all mine!
You are the dahlia whisperer, Eliza. These are exquisite. Mine have been very disappointing this year.
Thank you, Susie. Not sure if I earn that praise, but there has been lots of rain this summer, so they are happy. The buds just keep on coming!
Gorgeous
Thank you, Eunice!
Your very welcome.
Beautiful colours.
Thank you, Rupali. 🙂
