With Crocosmia ‘Lucifer’ at peak bloom, I picked other flowers that complemented them… the maturing stems and fruit of Doublefile Viburnum (V. plicatum var. tomentosum), Hemerocallis ‘Hyperion’, Hosta flowers; single stems of Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis), Dahlia ‘Voodoo’, Zinnia elegans and a few Poppy (Papaver somniferum) seed heads as accent.

Very nice, and I love your vase. Looks pretty green in your garden, but, of course, you’ve had rain!
Thank you, Su. Rain surely is abundant this summer!
A lovely vibrant arrangement❣️
Thank you, Val!
The daylily is exemplary, and looks like a real lily.
I mean like an Asiatic lily of the Lilium genus.
Thank you, Tony. Its petals are longer than most daylilies, for sure. Most of the breeders seem to produce fat, squat buds and flowers.
That is spectacular, Eliza. Fiery and bright!
Thank you, Dale. A real eye-popper! 😀
Big time!
🙂
It is cheering to see this bright arrangement of flowers as our winter grudgingly draws to a close.
I hear you, winter can be long and dull, but at least you don’t have snow! 🙂
I am grateful for that.
Just beautiful!
Thank you, Rupali!
Striking! I’ve always enjoyed Crocosmias although we’ve not had success with them lasting beyond one year. Maybe we’ll try again.
They really stand out in the garden and the hummers love them. When you pick up the clethra, I’ll dig you some corms. 🙂
I remember them as you’ve shown them, richly colored and beautiful. That’s very kind of you, Eliza. Thanks!
My pleasure!
such a stunning collection, Eliza…
Thank you, J & A!
Thank you, Eliza… 🌺🌼🌸
Absolutely perfect way to start a gray and gloomy day. Gorgeous arrangement. Do you dig up the Crocosmia Lucifer in the fall and replant in the spring?
Thank you, Judy. No, it is winter hardy and self sows, so the patch fills out on its own. Occasionally, I’ll have vole damage in winter, but they recover pretty quickly.
Oh yes, the blazing hot colors of middle summer! A dramatic arrangement, Eliza.
Thank you, Barbara. It definitely speaks of high summer!
One of these years I’ll find or make a space for Crocosmia – they’re so dramatic, and I imagine the hummingbirds would appreciate them as well.
Yes, you have that right. Every time I look, there is a hummer there.
A very bountiful bouquet. The Crocosmia has really caught everyone’s eye including mine.
Thank you, it really stands out in the garden. The hummers esp. love it.
Flamenco colors!
Yes! 🙂

I love your arrangements! That crocosmia is a knockout!
Thank you very much, Ellen. It adds a bit of a tropical feel to the garden. 🙂
I think our weather’s getting to me. I looked at your bouquet I thought, “Those sure are hot colors.” Then, I saw rain and 65F as your conditions, and sighed. When I went out to fill the bird feeders this morning, the heat index already was 99F. Sigh. But the flowers are pretty! At least you’ve had rain to keep things blooming!
Thank you, Linda. Yes, quite cool today and more rain. I’m actually needing a sweater!
Sorry your weather continues to be challenging. It has got to break soon, yes? Not soon enough, I imagine!
We’re in for another full week to ten days of it, but change will come ‘eventually’ — whatever that turns out to be.
Fiery colors are summer colors! I love them.
Thank you, Hien!
Now that’s what I call a pop of colour! 💖🌼💛❤️🧡😍 — fantastic!
Thank you, Susan!
And in matching water (or an orange jar) too!
Yes, they all match! 🙂
That’s a gorgeous wake-up to a Monday morning!
Glad you found it so– thanks, Tina!
Some gorgeous warm colours and a wonderful vase to match. It is very cool here today, so I was glad for the warmth! 😉 The zinnia is especially lovely, and the poppy seedheads too. 😃
Thank you, Cathy. It is cool and drizzly here today, and bigger storms predicted tomorrow, but overall, the weather has turned blessedly pleasant with a mix of days. ‘Normal’ weather!
Very beautiful flowers, Eliza! 😊
Thank you, John! 🙂
You are welcome, Eliza. 😊
Wow! Fiery indeed, and accentuated by the equally bright vase – this will wake everyone up on a Monday morning!
In a good way, I hope! Thank you, Cathy.
Haha, yes! 🤣
It still looks like full summer in your garden! Beautiful arrangement, Eliza 😊
Yes, all the rain this summer has kept it lush. The goldenrod starting at the edges gives the date away. Thanks, Belinda!
I love how much fiery plant material you found in your garden for that perfect vase!
Thank you, Donna! Mid-summer gifts. 🙂
Fiery indeed! I love the mix – it’s a spectacular arrangement that can’t be ignored.
Thank you, Kris! 🙂
Your Crocosmia is stunning and you paired it with some real beauties. Nice choice for the vase as well. Have a happy gardening week.
Thank you, Susie!
Such a cheerful bouquet to start out a fresh new week.
Thank you, Monika. Have a good one!
Beautiful fiery colors brought out by the luscious green background. 😊👍
Thank you, Pepper. It sure is green with all the rain we’ve had this summer.
The rain has been nice in our area too. Lots of mushrooms popping up to prove it. 😊
Gorgeous!!! The fiery colors say summer so well!
Thank you, Denise!
Very colorful Eliza!
Thank you, Reed!
You’ve assembled a stunning assortment from your garden, Eliza. It’s so cheering.
Thank you, Alys, glad you liked it!
So bright and bold!
Thanks, Laurie!
Holy cow that’s bright! love it
Thanks, Frank… a bit of the tropics, if only temporary. 🙂
Gorgeous! I miss my Lucifer it is somewhere under all my heavy hydrangea blooms.
Thank you, Eunice. I have corms in three places and they keep spreading, but not overwhelmingly. They keep the hummers happy. 🙂
Yes, our invasives are loved by others for sure 🙂
Love the gorgeous colors and vase and we were just commenting today that it’s amazing to have everything look so green in August.🙂
Thank you, this summer has been the complete opposite of last year!
The Crocosmia are especially vibrant and healthy. One of my favorites.
Thanks, such a great flower, I miss them already. 🙂
