      Must be E/W regional differences. I love the metallic-colored insects. Do you have green tiger beetles? They are beautiful!

        sadly, no … we are too westward for them! 🙂 the Jewel Beetle is as colourful as insects get for us out here on the West Coast. despite their “precious” name, they are actually pests (homewreckers)! 😐
