I’ve never been accused of being a fashionista, and for good reason. And I also have never felt any pangs about any milestone birthdays. I like being retired, I like my generation, and I wouldn’t want to be 20 or 30 or 40 nowadays.

Yes, I think it is important to feel good in one’s own skin and be grateful for the gifts you’ve been given. I did have a problem turning 50. Something to do with the downhill slope! Life is like a really good party that you don’t want to ever end!

  3. Great post Eliza and so honest and real!! Denial just prolongs the evitable ha! I’m trying to just allow and embrace my changes and some days are easier than others!

Yes, Sue really hit the nail on the head. There are some times I look in the mirror after a night of insomnia and I think that I could use some help! But for the most part I take it as it comes. Frownies, bags, dark circles, sags and all! Rather than criticizing my body, I thank it for taking me all the places I want to go and keeps on ticking! Yay!

  5. Great posting!! We need to embrace everything in our lives- including aging.
