The weeds have their place in nature too! 🌾
Absolutely! Thanks, Karen. 🙂
Are those milkweed seeds? Very cool.
Thanks, Monika. Yes, our common milkweed is uncommonly beautiful this time of year! 🙂
Still beautiful Elia, the soft whiteness of those seeds still speak of their attempt at a future 🤗❤️🙏
Oops, I think they ‘borrowed’ the Z in your name to keep warm over winter 🤣❤️🙏
It’s all beauty and hope! 🙂
Those pods are amazing – very atmospheric image, Eliza.
Thank you, Flavia. The silky, fly-away seeds are esp. lovely.
Nature is wonderful what it is labelled by man.
Very true… thanks, Brian.
Nice textures
Thank you, Derrick 🍂
There’s always something to admire in nature. After all, brown, tan, gray, and white are colors, too.
Absolutely… one never comes away empty. Beauty awaits around every turn.
Beautiful capture! Milkweed is such a wonderful plant. From its springtime sprouts, to its gorgeous, scented flowers, attracting so many different pollinators and caterpillars, to the cute little green seed pods, to the magical, fluffy seeds.
Well described, Alice! It is a plant with a lot to offer.
lovely… light, airy, a visual tease…
Thank you, Dymoon. Weeds are so pretty in fall and winter. 🙂
This photo highlights the simple beauty of nature, we just need to look
Truth! Thanks, Karen. 🙂
I took a couple of images like that this week. The sun makes the silk glow and I think they’re really pretty even if they do mean that summer is definitely over.
Agreed… thanks, Dawn! 🙂
and thank YOU for subscribing to my blog.
They’re preparing for the year to come!

The circle of life! 🙂
I’ll bet the butterflies enjoyed that milkweed … and now, we can enjoy seeing those silky strands. Still, this is one more sign winter is on its way.
I hope they did, I love seeing the silk fly away. 🙂
More milkweed in the world!! Eventually…:)
That’s the plan! 😉
Such a treat to see Eliza 💛 xxx
Thank you, Xenia. Glad you liked it. 🙂
I have noticed more milkweed along roads. Always glad to see them.
Time to disperse seeds!
Isn’t it strange that people have given a name with weed in it to such a beautiful plant?
Being stoloniferous, it can be aggressive, but we’ve learned its special value for monarchs. Farmers don’t like it as it can be poisonous to livestock, thus its widespread elimination with herbicides. Man vs. nature, per usual.
Wonderful celebration of milkweed in this one photo, Eliza. I can almost feel those silky, intriguing contents.
Thanks, Jet. Such a photogenic weed!
An interesting subject and photo!
Thank you, Denise. The silk is the best, an ugly duckling turned swan. 🙂
I agree but I do think the flowers quite pretty.
Yes, and their honeyed scent is divine!
