How many different Lilly’s are there Eliza? And all seriously gorgeous like that 🤣❤️🙏
The wild lilies are the prettiest, but the hundreds of cultivars aren’t too shabby either.
This photo is superb – gorgeous bloom, Eliza.
Thank you, Flavia. ❤
So elegant! I wasn’t aware of this lily, so thank you!
Thank you, Audrey. One of our loveliest natives. 🙂
Splendid 😊
Thank you, Rupali!
Hi Eliza. Gorgeous.Love the contrasting shapes.
MJ
Thank you, MJ. They’re a favorite wildflower I always look forward to.
You captured those Lilies so lovingly!
Thank you, Alice. I wish we had more in our woods, but deer just love them. They are barely hanging on, alas.
Lovely! 😊
Thank you, Pepper!
Wow 🫶🏻🧡
Thanks, Isha. One of our prettiest wildflowers. 🙂
She’s grand 🧡
Thank you!
So very delicate and lovely. I wasn’t aware of this flower, either.
Thank you, Laurie. We find them in our woods by the river. Popular with deer and voles, they are short-lived, but thankfully, seem to produce enough seed to hang on.
How lovely! I had no idea there was a Canada lily 🙂
Yes, one of our loveliest native wildflowers. Thanks, Dale!
Very pretty. I am not a huge lily fan but these are quite lovely 😉
They are quite graceful, a treat to come upon on our walks.
They do look it.
This one evokes a native that barely creeps into east Texas: the Carolina lily (Lilium michauxii). Personally, I find both of these — the Canada and the Carolina — more attractive than the standard day lily that fills our ditches.
I agree, the natives have such grace the others don’t have.
Nice flower indeed. I didn’t know it bear the name of my country…(Suzanne)
Thank you, Suzanne. It has a few common names, but the Latin is Lilium canadense.
A magical composition, with the muted orbs dancing around the lovely lily bud and flower.
Thank you, Barbara. The bokeh does add a nice background. 🧡
That’s an elegant one, even by a lily’s high standards!

Thank you, Kris. It is always a delight to see one along our trail. They aren’t all that common, it seems.
What a beautiful lily and so artfully photographed!
Thank you, Monika!
WONDERFUl image Eliza.
Thank you very much, Catherine!
🧡💛🧡💛🧡💛🤗
Thanks, Susan!
What a beautiful lily Eliza! 🧡✨️ xxx
Thank you, Xenia. One of our most graceful wildflowers. 🙂
Beautiful capture, Eliza! That color is just stunning!
Thank you, Tina. Much appreciated!
Poised and glorious!
Thank you, Allison!
It’s a beauty.
Thank you, Alys. I wish it were more common, I love them!
I can see why.
Beautiful plant and beautiful photo of it!
Thank you, Beth!
It’s a beauty! Great name too 😊🇨🇦
True that! 🙂
Beautiful flower and image – love the color.
Thank you, Tom. Do you ever see these in the woods out your way?
Yes, I see them in wetlands. The last time I saw one was last year in the Newburyport area.
Lovely.
Thank you, Cindy!
These are lovely Eliza. New to me!
Thank you, Cathy. Martagon lilies are similar in shape, but not this graceful or lovely colour.
Gorgeous! And lovely bokeh effect on the photo too!
Thank you, Julie!
Beautiful details Eliza!
Thank you, Maria!
Beautiful photo!🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Looks very elegant and pretty Eliza. Refreshing as we are shivering in cold in Aussie 🙂
Thank you, Deepa. The cycle of the seasons… I have to remind myself that though it is very hot here, it will be very different all too soon. Your spring will come!
