Someone has to say it; your flower is just peachy! The combination of the pastel petals and the bold purple center is so appealing.
Thank you, Linda. It is indeed, one to get lost in!
Ooo! What a luscious color that is!
Thanks, Sandy. ‘Helen Elizabeth’ is the cultivar, very sturdy!
Beautiful Eliza. A deep purple highlighted with…well…the pink even seems to have that purple faintly in the pink…or my eyes are wishing for it 🤣❤️🙏
Thank you, Mark. And the bees get that purple pollen all over them. 🙂
Haha, I bet. Like letting the kids play in the mud squealing with delight 🤣❤️🙏
This is lovely.
Thank you, Rupali. 🙂
Delightful
Merci!
Very beautiful and special.
Thank you, Flavia. Indeed it’s a beauty!
Beautiful. I think I need a poppy doctor because I have them for a while and then poof they are gone. I love them, and I miss them.
Thank you, Judy. I think they are sensitive to too much moisture during dormancy. I’ve lost them in the meadow but this one has been happy for decades in the stonewall bed which drains well and bakes in the summer.
Beautiful! I love the contrasts.
Thank you, Barbara!
This looks delicately beautiful.
Thanks, Anne. I love the crepe papery petals and dark purple stamens. I have a white one, too, but it isn’t as sweet as this one.
Petals perfect for a Fairy dress…lots of pollen freckles.
Thanks, Alice. Yes, the pollen is so inky!
So pretty nestled in the ferns. The petals look like crepe paper.
Thank you, Laurie. I love the seed heads afterwards, too. Then in dormancy, like daffodils, they completely disappear until next year!
Oooh… I don’t think I’ve ever seen one that colour before! So pretty. And like Laurie said, the petals look like crepe paper
Thank you, Dale. I think its clothes got left in the dryer, they’re all wrinkled! 😉
Ah hahaha! Of course! That too 😉
Translucent papery petals — lovely! 🌸💖
Thank you, Susan! 🙂
So perfect. I need to try growing oriental poppies again.

Thanks, Kris. They seem pretty hardy once established, provided they get enough sun. No problem for you!
Oh, that’s a really pretty Poppy! I’ve had trouble growing them for some reason. I’ve tried to start them from seed, and some are growing, but taking their time. I think it’s my limited supply of sun, even though I have them planted in the sunniest part of my garden. Finger crossed: I love them. Beautiful photo!
Thank you, Beth. I hope your seedlings grow great big flowers like these!
Such a delicate color.
Thank you, the pale orange is my favorite.
That’s an exquisite poppy, Eliza! Beautiful colors!
Thank you, Tina. I love the wrinkly petals, like it just got out of bed! 😀
Aww what a glorious poppy Eliza! 🩷 xxx
Thank you, Xenia! xo
I like the contrasting colours of the flower’s petals and its centre. Lovely!
Thank you, Belinda. It is an interesting and fun flower to study up close.
I don’t see many poppies around here. This one is lovely, such a delicate color!
Thank you, Debbie. Bright orange is very common here, but I much prefer the paler one.
Lovely flower and image, the foliage makes a great setting.
Thank you, Tom. I like how the foliage seems to caress the flower.
What a beauty. I’ve never seen a poppy that colour before, even on the computer, let alone, reality (out in nature).
Thank you, Vicki. It is definitely an annual favorite.
Lovely. Like others, I have not come across this is a poppy color.
Thank you, Tanja. I guess red/orange is the most common color. I have both peach and white, though the peach is a more robust plant for me.
Oh my, this peachy poppy is an absolute delight to the eyes! 🌸 The soft blush of the petals against that bold, velvety center is nature’s perfect harmony. Wordless Wednesday, indeed—some blooms speak louder than words ever could. Thank you for sharing this gentle beauty, Eliza! Your garden always feels like a serene escape. 🌿💕

Thank you, Diya! Glad to provide a respite. 🙂
And what a beautiful respite it is, Eliza! 🌸 Thank you for generously sharing slices of serenity from your garden. They truly refresh the soul and uplift the spirit—one bloom at a time. 💚 Always grateful for your kind presence and floral grace! 🌼🌿
