Sunflowers provide great cheer wherever they grow 🙂

Agreed. I always have to plant a few in my garden every summer, for my enjoyment as well as the bees and eventually birds that eat the seed. I’ve found a shorter variety that doesn’t require a lot of room. A win-win.

  2. I love these, I used to grow them as a kid. Thanks for the lovely yellow memories 🤗🤣❤️🙏

Twin Sunflowers ! ! Look strong, healthy & expecting pollinators.

Some significant road construction recently was completed. The sides of the highway were scraped, leveled, sprayed with who-knows-what, covered with mesh, and then with a heavy coating of rocks. Today, the sunflowers are laughing at the engineers and planners: they’ve re-emerged despite it all, are standing tall, and look just as happy as yours!

Such cheerful blooms! I sowed seeds before going to the Fling but the seedlings aren’t impressive.

Such happy-looking blooms … and who can help smiling when viewing them?!

  7. So pretty, jaunty and elegant at the same time.

  8. They are always the happy flower of summer. Love them.

Pretty flowers and image, the bees do love them. It’s the helianthus time of year!

  10. Sun-loving beauties! 🌻🌻 Nice shot!

Your sunflowers are gorgeous!!! I’m eagerly awaiting the moment when my Jerusalem artichokes are going to bloom, hopefully soon. They are a lot taller than me (I’m 5’10).

Very pretty Eliza. There is a definite ‘late summer’ feel to the air here today, and my first sunflower has finally opened too. 😃
