Wordless Wednesday – Swift Water

Looks cool and refreshing.
Very much so… we’ve been dipping in here for decades, so grateful for its refreshment. 🙂
The rocks, water, clump of grass, and sand bar are visually pleasing. I’m guessing this is the creek that has all those wonderful ice formations in winter?
Thanks, Audrey. Yes, it is the same, very different now! We’ll take the dog down there later to wade around and cool off. It’s is blistering out there!
Perfect for a hot dog!
Yes, cools her right down. 🙂
Zen moment.
Totally! 🙂
This is one of my favourite kinds of photograph – lovely.
Thank you, Anne. 🙂
Looks lovely and refreshing just to look at. I would love to dip my toes in there right now! 😁
Thanks, Cathy. This is our little dipping pool, perfect on a very hot day like today!
Swiftly flowing water is so refreshing, to the toes and to the spirit! A lovely scene, Eliza.
Thank you, Barbara. This spot is the place to be on a hot day like this… it’s so brutal out there!
I can almost feel the pull of the cooling water. And tickley grass. I see a stone-face on the bottom right boulder.
It is one of my favorite sitting spots, and dipping pool, quite refreshing!
Record the sound in a loop, put it on YouTube, and go viral! It’s not only pleasing to look at, I suspect the sound is pleasing, too — like this, that I occasionally let play when I’m working at my desk, as a substitute for distracting music.
Ha, yes, the sound of burbling water is so relaxing. I put the waterfall on Instagram, but not here by the river. Next time perhaps. 🙂
Very cooling 💙
It is so refreshing to have this small river to dip into. Thanks, Val. 💜
I just want to dip my feet in.
I’ll be sitting down in there later, c’mon in! 😉
Nice and refreshing on this hotter-than-Hades day with the wear-the-air humidity!!
Thanks, Dale. It’s so ridiculously hot! I’ll be wading down there later on today. 😉
Same here. I was considering going outside for a walk (to warm up from the bloody office A/C) but honestly, the temp is 88, but feels like 108 (why not just say it’s 108 and save us the headache?)
God, urban heat is nasty! More green roofs please! 🙏🏼
No kidding! Montreal has been on a mission to make more green spaces but they are also building more so, I dunno!
Ah, just looking at that photo is calming! And I heard not long ago that living near water helps you live longer, too!
Thank you, Debbie, I love that! I hope it is true. 🙂
Looks so cool and refreshing. What a horrible, no-good, stinking hot day we are having in central Maine. Even ten years ago, it would have been inconceivable to have 95 degree weather in June.
IKR? It is really tough to accept these changes.
I’m grateful to have this little spot in the river to refresh ourselves and the poor panting dog. 🐶
Nice to have a natural “water feature” close to home!
It truly is… this is our ‘dipping pool’, which I just might visit on this blistering afternoon!
Very inspiring!
🙂 Thanks, Maria!
Looks like a lovely area to walk along near while listening to that beautiful rushing water.
Thanks, Monika. I love living near water, it soothes like nothing else. If you count a vernal stream, our property has water on three sides. 🙂
I love the sound of running water. Sure looks lovely!
Thank you, Belinda. We’re blessed with lots around here. Nature’s music!
I love water falls, cascades, and flows of all sorts. Pretty!
Thank you, Tom. WMass is blessed with lots of that. 🙂
Some day I’ll get back to Waconah falls and Bash Bish falls.
Just lovely Eliza!
Thank you, Maria!
Beautiful and perfect for a hot summer day!🙂
Thanks, it’s been our place to cool off for over 30 years. 🙂
