On this last day of this tumultous year, I thought I’d look back through my photos and pick a dozen shots, one for each month. Nature has provided me with much solace, as it does every year, but this year its solid continuity has been especially calming.
I hope the year ahead provides you similar comfort and that no matter where the road takes you, you find a quiet peace at the end of each day. Wishing you health and much happiness in 2021. Thank you for being you. ❤

So beautiful I had to click through a second time. A very happy New Year to you and yours! Looking forward to seeing your 2021 photos.
Thank you kindly, Laurie. Sending you and Clif all the best!
You convey a breath of hope and beauty, Thanks You

All these gorgeous flowers, and the photo that gave me lengthy pause was the clouds reflected in a lake (?) Have a wonderful New Year Eliza!!
Thank you, Chris!
Wishing all a year filled with joy and hope
Thank you, Karen. Ditto!
I always love seeing photos of your perennial garden which seems to appear out of nowhere in (late) spring! The first photo with the bee is also lovely. Eliza, I wish you and your family all the very best for 2021. ⭐️🤗⭐️
Thank you very much, Cathy. The same right back at you! x
I started blogging this year, and with that, started focusing more on enjoying and photographing my small garden. The wonder and beauty in nature are welcomed counterpoints to 2020. Thanks for sharing your images.
One of my earliest posts was “The People by the Side of the Road.” I felt compelled to write it, then forget it. But, 2020 insists on bringing it back to mind.
Perhaps 2021 will be better. I’m glad I found your blog. Have a happy and safe new year!
Many thanks, Jerome. The blogging community is wonderfully supportive. Best wishes for the year ahead!

Thank you, Alice. Hoping for a much better year!
I guess that you are looking forward to snow melting and uncovering your garden. Tis year, for the first time, I went regularly to the beach and just loved the shape of the clouds and the weeks when buttercups covered the grass just behind the beach huts. Happy New Year
Thank you, Diana. I envy your access to the ocean, I miss visiting the beach. Maybe next summer, restrictions will be lifted. Hope!
We are so lucky – a mile from the beach and about 8 miles to the country
Perfect!
I see many photographers doing this! I want to too! (But that might be me the procrastinator talking… I’m already “behind schedule” putting my phone in another room and finishing grading theses student essays…) Happy New Year, dear Eliza! 💕
Thank you, Laura Denise! HNY!
Beautiful message and beautiful pic !
Thank you, Harold!
Is the beautiful, large, yellow flower a Camellia or a Ranunculus? And Calla Lily…which I love.
Ranunculus… a winter flower I love to buy.
🥰
Very nice series of images Eliza! Enjoyed seeing them!
