Oh! wow! So beautiful, Eliza!
Thank you very much!
Welcome, Eliza. When I’m home on a Sunday, I look for your post! Have a good one!
Thank you kindly! x
Oh! Stunning!! 😍😍
Thank you, Trini! ❤
This looks like a sculpture. Gorgeous.
Thank you, Lisa. It was amazing to see how thick the ice was. All created one drop at a time!
Stunning!!! 🍁
Thank you, Karen! 🙂
It’s wearing a glove of ice.
I know, pretty amazing, eh? 🙂
So cool!
Thank you, Savannah!
Incredible. Love that one, Eliza!
Many thanks, Sandy!
You are most welcome, Eliza.
What an interesting capture, Eliza. Sometimes I wish our winters gave more subject material like the one in this post.
Thank you, Vicki. One has to find the positives of living in a cold, frigid climate! 😉
Amazing! Glad you caught a photo of that before it melted. 🙂
Thank you, Betty!
For some reason this won’t open. I am in NoCal visiting the twins so maybe it is a connectivity issue
Enjoy your visit – maybe it’ll open at some point! 😉
Wow! I have never seen that before! I hope you are keeping snuggly and warm!
Thank you, Ali. We can have days or weeks that do not rise above freezing, so ice can accumulate into fantastic formations. Walks are short!
The wonders of nature shown beautifully here!
Thank you, Annika!
That’s a very interesting photo! It’s special to notice details like that.
Thank you, Alice. I liked the crackle glaze, too. 🙂
Reblogged this on anita dawes and jaye marie.
Thank you for reblogging!
Love the way the ice tries to follow the contour of the leaf!
Thank you, Anita and Jaye, it was pretty amazing to see!
Yes, it was…
Weird, it looks like a hand. What a clever shot.
Thank you, Chloris. It was pretty unusual, that’s for sure.
Beautifully captured! ❤️
Thank you, Irene!
It looks like a glove left behind……
My impression, too. 🙂
Cool. I can’t believe how thick it became!
Me, neither… pretty extraordinary!
What a brilliant find! A photo of interesting contrasts, plus it looks like a hand!
Thank you, Allison. It was one of those rare gifts of Nature. 🙂
That is beautiful Eliza! What a unique find.
Thank you very much, Cindy!
Fascinating! The ice really looks thick.
Thank you, Wendy. It was at least an inch thick all around that paper-thin leaf. Who would have thought? 🙂
My goodness!
The scalloped edge is remarkable. I also like the crackle-glaze effect. Keep warm and enjoy your short walks when it is possible to venture out!
Thank you, Carol. Today we are getting freezing rain, followed by gale force winds tonight – this kind of weather is no fun!
Oh wow – that sounds challenging. Keep warm and snug. Hope the winds dissipate soon and don’t cause too much damage.
Thank you. We’re hunkering down, hoping we don’t lose power. Fingers crossed!
Good luck – hope you have a wood burner in the event of losing power. Thinking of you and trying to imagine what it must be like. Take care.
Thank you very much. We are blessed to have a generator to power the lower floor, which includes heat/hot water, so other than the noise of the generator (which has to be shut off at night), we’ll be all set. Let’s hope we don’t need it!
Fingers crossed.
Wow!
🙂
Really nice!!!
Thank you, Laurie!
Soooo unique and pretty, Eliza
Thank you, Luda! Have a great week!
Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink. 🙂
🙂 You’d have to boil it first! 😉
Fabulous!🙂
Thank you!
Quite a pattern the ice has formed!
Nature amazes us yet again. 🙂 Thanks, Belinda!
so symbolic
Thanks, Kim! ❤
That’s amazing. You have a sharp eye!
Thank you very much, Kris. I often see sticks in the stream thick with ice, but never a leaf like this. It landed in the perfect spot to get crystallized. Amazing indeed!
Stunning! Nature’s magic and your camera are a winning partnership.
Thank you kindly, Peter!
You and your camera see such interesting things
Thank you very much, I guess we do! 🙂
Reblogged this on LIVING THE DREAM.
Thank you for reblogging!
JUST MAGIC ELIZA, SO ORGANIC, CHINA
china.alexandria@livingthedream.blog
Thank you, China!
Love this Eliza! Even the deep green moss bed the leaf is resting upon!
Thank you, Kathy! Pretty chilly up here these days… enjoy your week!
So cool! And beautiful! ❤
Thank you, Julie!
This could give an artist the idea of making something similar by encasing a leaf in clear resin.
Now that would be a great conversation piece!
It’s like a special piece of glass.
Yes! Thanks, Brian.
Wow, that’s a wonderful capture Eliza.
Thank you very much, Sylvia!
Such icy beauty!
Thank you, Fi!
Great photo Eliza😊
Thank you, Alison!
I saw someone else mentioned this, and I, too, saw the oak leaf wearing a glove of ice. Very cool, unique shot, Eliza!
Thank you, Donna. A pretty rare event, indeed!
Well-spotted and photographed. It’s beautiful!
Thank you very much!
Great find and capture Eliza!
