    Love those tiny buds.

  2. Anne says:

What a pretty sight, filled with promise – the green in the background suggests you are enjoying much warmer weather now too 🙂

  3. Apple blossoms are so dang pretty!

Gorgeous! You have nearly caught us up now. Crab apple started flowering here around five days ago. 😃 Isn’t it amazing how quickly your vegetation grows at this time of year. And I thought it was quick here!

  6. Beautiful pink blossoms that scream welcome spring.

  7. Alice says:

The beginnings of bee-delights and crab apple jelly.

  8. shoreacres says:

Despite so many vivid childhood memories, I don’t remember our two large crabapple trees blossoming. I only remember crabapple jelly, and using the small apples in our various backyard ‘battles.’

    • Eliza Waters says:

I love apple blossoms, such a delicate scent. There was an old orchard behind our house growing up, the beginning of my enchantment. 🙂

  9. Treah Pichette says:

Quintessential spring! For me, it’s always apple & lilac blossoms.

  10. Dale says:

So beautiful. Ours haven’t started to bloom yet. What is UP with that?

  11. Beautiful! Keep those spring photos coming! Finally spring is showing up here. 👏

  12. Such beauty! I can almost smell their delicate scent.

A front seat view of crabapple beauty!

  14. Jane Lurie says:

Such a pretty bloom and gorgeous color, Eliza. I have childhood memories of trying them and puckering up. Mostly throwing them at each other. 😂

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thanks, Jane. Ha, yes, I tried one last year and spat it out! Robins and cedar waxwings eat the fruit in winter, which makes me happy. 🙂

  15. Kris P says:

Such a lovely flowering tree. It sings of spring too!

  16. Debbie says:

So very pretty, Cindy! We don’t have a crab apple in our yard — nobody is too fond of the “mess” they make! — but I do enjoy seeing other people’s.

  17. Val Boyko says:

Perfect and just right for your neck of the woods!

  18. Maria says:

This sure is a promise of spring! Very beautiful!

  19. I must comment again. I love those blossoms!!!

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Gary. 🙂 I share that love… right now it is a white cloud, absolutely covered in blossoms and buzzing with all sorts of native bees. Smile worthy!

  20. Oh how pretty! I love the shades of pink! Is this tree in your garden? (Lucky you, if it is.)

    • Eliza Waters says:

Yes, it is… and amazingly, it was a ‘gift’ from a passing bird that I mowed over the first year, thinking I didn’t want a tree it that spot! But it survived with only a scrape and I decided to see what it would become. Sure glad I did, lol!

  21. Donna Donabella says:

I swoon each spring seeing these blossom

  22. It’s so easy to see why this is a very popular decorative tree!

  23. Pepper says:

    So pretty. 😊

  24. Pretty! We have a pink flowering tree that we think is a crab apple but I’m not sure. The fruit is a little smaller than a marble.

  25. Lovely so many flowers that are not growing here I have not seen here in Aussie. So beautiful 🙂
