    What a strikingly beautiful combination!

  2. Brian Skeys says:

Lovely combination. Unfortunately, Monardo didn’t like my garden. The Swan neck is One of the most graceful plants.

  3. Cathy says:

Wonderful! Mine got frazzled, so lovely to see this photo to keep me optimistic about next year! 😉

  4. Cute title and another sweet arrangement, Eliza.

Not what I was expecting, but very pretty.

    No words needed. Great photograph.

  7. Nice, and a good play on words. 🙂

  8. I agree with Judy lol and it is so pretty how deep is your well?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thanks, Eunice. Not sure exactly how deep, but probably about 250′ being a ‘newer’ well. We’ve never had an issue with water, but I still conserve in dry summers. Only two beds get soaker hose drinks. The rest are on their own, or I spot water if certain plants look desperate. I’m pretty amazed at the resilience I’m seeing.

  9. What an inventive title and very lovely arrangement! (Made me think of Christmas colors…)

  10. Such soft and colorful beauty. 💜

  11. A great combo. Are Gooseneck controllable?

  14. Beauty and fun! Who could ask for anything more?

  15. Alice says:

Christmas colors in August. Do the bees enjoy loosestrife, with all those flowers?

    • Eliza Waters says:

Yes, the honeybees and bumbles seem the most interested in the loosestrife, not the solitary ones, but as you know, it is the bee balm that is the favored one.

  21. That’s an arresting pairing! Lovely healthy specimens. (Both plants are struggling to survive in our garden just now. We seem to have missed the rain again.)

This is awesome ~ the contrast in colors is nice, but the best is how the shapes complement each other, really a cool arrangement.
