Thanks, Eunice. Not sure exactly how deep, but probably about 250′ being a ‘newer’ well. We’ve never had an issue with water, but I still conserve in dry summers. Only two beds get soaker hose drinks. The rest are on their own, or I spot water if certain plants look desperate. I’m pretty amazed at the resilience I’m seeing.
I know right it must be true if you plant natives, they can survive easier.

Yes, the honeybees and bumbles seem the most interested in the loosestrife, not the solitary ones, but as you know, it is the bee balm that is the favored one.
