The start of a day filled with possibilities.

The leaves are leaving you. Winters coming. I envy your winter and all the snow. Can you believe we had two thunder storms with lightening, rain, and general gorgeous chaos, in the last week? Last nights was truly spectacular lightening and thunder. We are in sustained and appalling drought, but we got hail and an inch of rain last night. I am still nursing my new Matilija poppies as I have been all summer. I planted 8. 5 have survived, but I have questions about 3 of them. These are native but so tough to find and grow. They like riverbeds, and we are on a mountain. I hope you stay well Eliza.

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Cindy. An inch of rain for you is incredible – did you have flash flooding? Hope your poppies make it… they are so gorgeous in bloom.

  3. Beautiful! (Did you fall down too?)

  5. Beautiful autumn sky, the season made apparent by the bare tree. Happy fall, Eliza…seasonally, not physically. 🙂

  6. That tinge of pink adds a completely different feel to the photo. Full of possibilities! 🙂

  7. Great photo including the header. We are having some bang up weather to enjoy as we work in the garden.

  14. Kris P says:

Pretty and colorful, unlike ours with is gray and rather gloomy at the moment.

  16. Debbie says:

Stunning! We’ve been having more than our share of rain — not very photogenic, I’m afraid!

    • Eliza Waters says:

Thank you, Debbie. Yes, it seems this year that the weather is either drought or deluge. We’ve had a fair amount of rain, too, but I’d rather that than drought any day.
